Comment:

I had her for the riding section of 168. I hadn't had much riding before and I was assigned a stubborn horse. took about 3 horses to get the right one. Not very good at explaining techniques. I don't feel like I learned anything. she moves around a lot when she lectures, so it's really hard to understand her.

Comment:

Very harsh grader with extremely tough all fill-in-the-blank and essay 100 point tests covering huge amounts of material. Unfriendly towards students asking questions and her powerpoints are not very well structured at all. She makes a ton of mistakes in grading and grammar in her powerpoints but still expects perfect grammar from her students.

Awesome prof, absolutely my fav at UWRF. She never has or ever will abuse an animal, any comments listed here stating that are full of it. Many more choice words could be used, but you get it. She is a tough grader, but guess what its COLLEGE. Understand the material and answer the question completely and you'll do very well.

Equine production was a lot of work, but so worth it! Lab quizzes are easy if you read the material. Lab practical is tough. Exams include essay questions based on actual emails she receives, so you have to understand the material, not just memorize it. If you work hard, you will do well. It also helps not to get on her bad side.

Comment:

I had her for ANSC 167 and she is very knowledgeable. She is nice over-all but dont get on her bad side. She is a hard grader when it comes to tests. Make sure to double check her scoring because she messes up quite a bit. I also had her for the riding part of 168 and she was very helpful and moved at a fast pace. Overall a good teacher.

All test and quizzes are on the power points she goes through in class, quizzes aren't hard but the tests are pretty challenging. Just be sure to study all the notes you take in class and you will do fine. She explains things very thoroughly and knows what she is talking about.

Had her for the riding section, I thought she did a pretty good job teaching, she moved us along pretty fast, so class wasn't boring, and we got to jump a bit. However, she gives horrible grades on the riding test! There's not a lot else the grade is based on, so that will pull your grade down significantly.
