Professor Mackenzie is great. Her lectures are very interesting and she draws from her background experiences. Keep up in the book. Her tests are hard, but she grades on a curve. You are bound to learn lots and enjoy this class!

This was a very interesting subject. The class was good, be prepared to read alot because she doesn't cover everything during class. We had 5 test and you could use your notes. 4 take home test, and 2 homework assignments. Its an easy class but time consuming so if you're not willing to put in the work this isn't 4 u. She likes details so be clear.

Definitely a good teacher. Very interesting, and she's pretty smart, too. When she doesn't know something, she'll come right out and say that she doesn't, but she'll also go back on her extensive experience with the subject and give you her best guess.

Excellent professor! By far one of my favorites, and helped me in deciding to major in Clinical Psychology. Helpful, interesting lectures and she genuinely cares about her students. Attend, study and you'll do fine.

I've taken several of her classes. She is wonderful! Very helpful and her lectures are easy to understand/follow. Her assignments are appropriate and drive you to understand the material deeper. I would HIGHLY suggest taking and her of her classes.

The course itself is interesting, but her class is extremely boring! She uses power points and occasionally videos. The book isn't really required, but you'll need it to study because her lectures fall short. Her tests are easy if you study, but she grades harshly. She does curve and offer SOME extra credit. Nowhere near "the best" at Mesa.

She is enthusiastic and expands a lot on information we go over. Videos are great and show different disorders in real life. You need to put a bit more effort into this class to do well but she has a ton of extra credit opportunities. If you put in the time you will do well. Fun class!

Abnormal Psychology with Laurie Mackenzie was the best. Definitely take her class. She is awesome and made the class worthwhile. Pretty easy tests, group assignments were kind of a drag but fun nonetheless. Great teacher.

She is amazing. Her classes are so interesting. Its always great to go from an 8 am sex class to hearing about crazy people. I recomend her classes to anyone interested in psychology.

Absolutely THE best teacher at Mesa College. She keeps her lectures fresh and includes the class. Test come straight out of her lectures and the case analysis are very interesting and fun to do. If you enjoy abnormal psychology, Ms. Laurie makes it fun!!
