He reads off slides for all of his lectures but if you have a background in physics you will do fine. Some of his tests had incorrect answers but he just gave everyone the points for the answer. He's very fair with grading and his pop quizzes are typically from the homework and aren't very hard. There are many parts that will boost your grade.

If there is one thing I would recommend any UCF student is not to take him. You will suffer unnecessary on a class that honestly shouldn't be that hard. He has only 15 questions in his exams so it is not easy to get good grades. He is hard to understand. Has a thick accent. Too hard homework that will take you a long time. Just awful.

He isn't the best lecturer but he is very willing to work with you outside of class. Definitely one of the kindest and most caring professors I've ever taken, I really wish I went into this class with more background knowledge of Physics so I didn't struggle as much. Keep up with the material for the pop quizzes, they can destroy your grade.

Average test was 40- 50%. Lab wroth 18% of grade but easy A. Gives pop quizzes online and in class (but helps your grade). lectures help only very little, but usually makes you more confused. If you take him go to his office hours he explains things well there. has an accent but can understand him better if you sit in the front of the class.

lmao, good luck. averages were in the 40s and 50s. a vast majority of the class is depending on the final as that determines if we pass or fail the class. you need wileyplus and the textbook to do the homework. lab is easy A. his lectures are useless but he randomly gives clickers so be careful. I never went to lecture the entire semester. waste

Stay as far away from this professor as humanly possible. The absolute worst teacher Ive ever had. His lectures are awful and very very difficult to understand. When I went to his office hours to review the test he was laughing at my bad grade. When the class average is below a 40% then you know the issue is with the teaching not the students.

This guy is not a good lecturer, I'll say that straight. But,he understands what he is talking about and is very willing to help you learn. That's the key here, go to his office hours and go to the optional recitation he has. Amazing in office, terrible in class. Very harsh grader. I wouldn't choose him if I had too, but if you work with him...

Like almost every other prof at UCF, doesn't actually answer any questions students ask.

College Physics I. He's a good lecturer if you pay attention, and if you go to his office he's approachable and cares about students. Focus on understanding concepts and working practice problems, NOT on memorizing. Tests were pretty hard but fair, and 80-100 is an A, which is definitely possible.

This is a hard subject so if you expect an A without studying hard, you should not be in college. His exams are hard but a lot of them are from book examples, so make sure you study the book well. He has a strong accent but after two weeks you will get used to it. It wasn't easy but i got an A in his class. Good Luck!

I had an extreme circumstance and he was not reasonable, nor did he care. He was not helpful, he always had something to do so it was hard enough asking this guy questions. His class is all math and he worked 1, maybe 2 problems each day. Hes so hard to understand and he has trouble making sense of the material. This is the worst professor at UCF.

horrible professor. Hard to understand. Did not let me make up exam even with medical paperwork. Class was supposed to be ABC NC and he gave me an F. Wouldn't respond to emails when trying to contact.

Do NOT take Chow if you want to pass physics! He just lectures from the book with his back turned to you, doesn't work out problems, he uses a test bank so you've never seen problems like the ones on the test. If you ask him questions he'll laugh at you. You're better off learning how to do problems from cramster. Worst professor I've ever had.

Very smart and talented professor for research. Quizzes are very difficult. Mastering Physics has a harsh grading scale, miss one multiple choice and you get 40%. Tests are difficult but many come from book examples.

Nice man. Make sure you read before you go to class and you'll get more out of his lectures. The slides he puts up are photo copies from the text. No additional problems besides those in the text. He's hesitant to do problems for the class unless you all bug him to. Laughs at you when you ask questions. Try and take dubai.

Difficult to understand. Sometimes it seems like he confuses himself. Homework was ridiculous and the internet program did not show how to do problems. In Final Exam, he gave us 30 problems to do in 50 minutes, most of which had to be worked through. I barely passed the class because of the stupid homework and the final exam.

very hard class. all he does is read his notes that he already put online for everyone. he does have a thick accent, thats not as bad though as how loud he talks. you have to sit in the front or you cant hear him. He isnt helpful at all after class either. All you can do is study the book and use tutoring. Tests are very hard and so are quizzes
