Comment:

By far one of the worst teachers at EWU. She picks favorites and is not helpful. She understands the math content, but is a very poor teacher. Her tests are terrible. They sometimes include questions and ideas you haven't learned yet in class. Her assessments are too long. Her homework is time consuming. Take any class from someone else.

She is not helpful and cannot teach material in a way you can understand. She only does 1 or 2 problems a day, you will need to teach yourself! First class I ever withdrew from, she even told half the class to drop since there was no way we would pass. One on one help is even worse, she cannot help.

She does not even know the material most of the time, teaches one or 2 problems straight from the book and can't explain it well. You must rely on your classmates and yourself, her tests are meant to be longer than 50 min, most don't finish. I have bever had to teach myself so much in my college career, luckily, the book does a better job than her

Linda is most likely the very worst math teacher i have ever had. Nothing is clear, and i come out of the class frustrated and angry.Teachers are here to teach you material, and her method of working on one problem the entire class time is completely useless. This entire department needs to be overlooked.

Comment:

Dr. Bolte cares a great deal about her students and making sure they know the material. Her tests are hard, but fair none the less and she assigns an adequate but not overwhelming amount of homework. Is willing to give you hints, but only hints that won't give away how something should be done. Overall a great teacher especially for math ed majors.

She's a nice person, but very difficult. Her tests are long and really hard and you're never quite sure what's going to be on the test. In this class, there is too much math and not enough history and the math you do get isn't useful or relevant or even understandable.

She tries hard, so that all students in the class will understand. Goes out of her way to help us understand. She grades really hard though. Her tests are killer. No room for error. She's a tough old broad.
