Professor DiPippo is great. It is very clear that she's passionate about her work, which makes taking the class a lot easier if you have a little trouble following along. She is very precise about what she wants done, but not to the point where it is annoying.

Very terrible professor. Especially for online courses such as CSC436 or any of the online CSF classes she teaches. I think somebody told her that she needed to make online video lectures and she took this to mean that she should literally word for word read us the slides. Adds nothing. No examples worked through. Not recommended.

Does not always do a great job at explaining things and will talk down to you and treat you like you have no idea what you are doing. Her directions for labs are extremely unspecific and hard to follow even for the TA's.

The labs are pretty challenging but you always get "challenge problems" which are extra credit every week. She's does flipped classroom. She doesn't take attendance, but you'll have in class quizzes or group assignments. Really easy to reach if there's a problem

DiPippo is brilliant herself but sometimes her over understanding of concepts translates poorly when she tries to simplify her meanings to teach. If you take her online class, prepare for the lectures to be pretty much word for word off of the slides, which aren't very helpful in the first place. Is always available for extra one on one help though

Go to the lab and ask questions and/ or office hours and you'll get all the help you need with the programming part of this. There were two papers, they weren't that hard, they kind of boring and this is computer science so eh. Some definitions on tests so can't just program for studying.

This professor is fine. She seems to reiterate the dictionary definition of a lot of concepts without coming down to a student level. This can be difficult sometimes when learning abstract concepts. However, she is reliable and will spend the time to work with you. She is responsive to problems if you stay in communication with her. Not the worst.

sorry but the cs program at this school is horrible. Taking classes my freshman year was probably the worst decision of my college career. Ms. Dippipo is probably the most monotoned boring professors I ever had. I heard she is the "best" in the department and after 110 the classes are unbearable with the people URI hire. My advice transfer ASAP

She's so nice and always willing to help. You have to teach yourself before the quiz, and after she teaches you. Its really easy though because what she uses is simple to read w/ easy quizzes. The people on this site rating her bad, its because the material is hard and not her, they just don't understand. You'll never get a better teacher for this.

Great teacher, very clear, nice, and helpful. Always in a good mood too. She's always willing to help out any problems you have too. As long as you go to class and pay attention then the assignments and labs won't be too hard.

Dr. Dipippo was my favorite prof. She keeps the classes attention, obviously cares about what she is teaching, and sets up interesting labs that go well with what is being taught in the lectures. Very helpful when you're stuck as well. Take a class with her if you can.

Easy class if you pay attention. Quiz every week, which are very easy. They keep you on track and most quiz material is on the midterm and final. Labs are with partners and its almost impossible to not get a 100 on every lab.
