Worst class I have taken so far at CSUF. It was boring, the tests suck and even if you go all the time you still have a hard time on the getting a good grade. She said the tests were based almost all of her lectures when in fact a lot came from the book. She is monotone and her stuff is way out of date. Stay far away from this class! Far far away!

I agree with the comment about gouging your eyes out! This class was absolutely dreadful. Wednesdays were the worst days of the week for me! She is HORRIBLE at lecture however her exams are from her lectures. She will be talking about one thing and then all of a sudden go on to something else mid sentence. She NEVER finished a thought! Horrible!

I did not take this class. After reading her previous reviews and class requirements for her WEB course I immediately dropped out. There was too much work involved (lots of papers) and required community service (40 hours). There are many other SOC classes that you can take without having do deal with all the extra stuff. My advise, don't take it!

she is a great professor! you dont need to buy or read the book. take good notes, all you have to do is study them well&you'll do good on the tests. there are only 3 tests and one project. the project is worth 40% so do well. she'll help you if you ask.

I took the spring 2004 course in soc.413 and it was great. We do minimal reading from the text. Make sure to attend lecture, and write a good paper you will do good. She knows her stuff and her lectures are very interesting.

Dont have to go, she doesnt take atttendance after the first day but the readings are rediculous, so just stay sober and half way awake and you will probly get a B in the class. One more thing there is a project worth 40% of the grade but you can fake it
