Professor Chrysafi is very enthusiastic. However, it seems as if he doesn't have a lesson planned and makes it up on the spot. He doesn't really go over examples in class relating to the hw. I have to spend 3 hours on youtube to learn the material and complete the hw. He gets annoyed when asked to go over some questions from the hw.

He comes off as a little crazy and eccentric but he does a pretty good job of explaining the concepts. If you don't understand something then raise your hand. He rewards people who show up and do the homework.

Very fair. If you give him the respect he deserves, he'll respect you. If you show you care, and want to learn, he'll make sure you understand the concepts. Attendance isn't a must, but he isn't lenient toward people who skip on the reg. Pay attention, do the work, and try to learn; you'll get an A. A few test questions are conceptual.

He's a really good professor. Calculus might be kinda difficult for the average student, but if you pay attention and ask him a lot, you're gonna be fine. He's available in office hours, and he's always willing to help students. If you need an extra grade, you can go to the Math Workshop and you'll be fine.

He is an amazing prof! He will go over a topic a million times to help students understand a concept.he is always helpful, and puts all of his energy in his teaching. Just attend every class, do the practice questions, show interest and you should be fine! U will get out, what you give in! Really good prof! just pay attention!

Go to class and you'll be fine. If you don't understand something, go to his office and he will help you. Try to get advantage of every resource he gives you on the tests, do good on the exams and you're gonna get a good grade. If you can go to the Math Workshop on the Math Center, it will be a big boost to your grade. Really nice guy.

An absolutely aweful teacher. Very smart person but he cannot convey the topics he is teaching for you to understand. Will not help if you are stuck. Cannot give a straight answer on a question. His grading method for tests are suspect as well. Take another teacher if possible.

this is my first comment on rate my proffessor but after reading the comments and taking the class i felt like you need a true insight. he is an awesome person to talk to BUT as for teaching he is pretty awful not clear on what hes explaining and the tests are always a trick. i will not recommend his class i repeat not recommend. good guy though.

If you truly do not understand the material he will become frustrated and tell you to "stare at the paper until you figure it out." Those students who are weak in math need to have perfect attendance and show effort for any sort of mercy. Remember he Is a fair man, however expect your grade to be a mix of BOTH effort and overall mathematical skill.

He has a very comprehensive understanding of the material.(calc based stat n prob.)@300+ classes he certainly makes an effort to have his students transcend from the"monkey c monkey do"i think im good @ math 2 the hardball game they play in that thing we call a career and academics.Is it hard? its not quantum mechanics or a rock.so no. Prof. Chrysafi is a fair professor, he tries to help students by having short quizzes as a way to boost your grade... His tests are fair....He definitely is willing to help if you go to him and ask him...If you don't understand something, go to him during his office hours and he will gladly answer anything....

Chrysafi isn't as bad as others are making him seem. He actually expects you to know and understand the math, not just learn some formulas and plug and chug. His tests are hard(very hard) but open book. I enjoyed his class. If you want a real appreciation and understanding of math take a class with him. If you just want to get by, try someone else.

this was my least favorite teacher. if you need any help dont even bother asking he never answers you questions.his lessons dont help at all, the notes are very disorganized. the only plus was that every test and final were open note. that helped alot but other then that i would not recommend this class. he will drop your grade if you miss classes.
