I have never been known to easily excel in math, I have always found it particularly difficult. Lou has really made a big difference, he has a daily quiz (if you do your homework and pay attention you will be just fine). He is always willing to help and answer questions. His teaching is a game-changer, creates a comfortable atmosphere. TY Lou!

Amazing professor. I failed MAT101 my fall semester, so I decided to take it again with him in the spring. I ended with an A- in his class. The only professor I've had that actually cares about your understanding in the class and your successes. I'd be more than happy to have him again.

Comment:

He is one of the best professors, let alone math professor, I have ever had. He makes material accessible and understandable. He responds to questions in class. He's funny, intelligent and the true definition of a teacher. He made me like math. He has a good demeanor and I cannot reiterate enough how well he 'teaches.' Some MAT profs do not.

I graduated with my undergrad in 2012. Math is my worst subject and I had to do an entire extra year of my undergrad because I couldn't pass it. Lou changed everything. He was helpful, insightful, caring, respectful, challenging, encouraging. His classes are not easy but he is there every step of the way. Truly one of the best!

Lou is an amazing professor. I've now taken two courses with him, and he's there to help you succeed and is always there to help in and out of class. I recommend him for any course you have to take, that he is teaching. He makes math fun, and males the course as smooth as possible for everyone!

Do not miss a class! You need to attend the lectures in order to get good notes for quizzes and tests. The professor does work hard for you, and is readily available for questions. I would recommend this professor for any stats class as he managed to make this topic interesting and class fun. I definitely learned a lot on this topic in his class!

Prof. Neveux is a truly amazing teacher. He cares a lot about his students and makes class fun (yeah even a math class!). He's hilarious and fun and loves his job and his students. I made a B when I had a C- the first time I took this with another professor. He's definitely USMs best. Wish he taught more!

Supportive, patient, and funny are only some of Lou's virtues. He's truly the best teacher I've ever had. He made the class enjoyable. He boosted my confidence in math and as an overall student. This Professor changed my outlook on math teachers, and math in general. Helps you feel confident about the topics and very helpful. Very entertaining and easy to stay focused during lectures. Attendance is mandatory of course, but has two classes to choose different time slots, makes for easy life scheduling.

Best professor I have ever had, and this is coming from someone who hates math. Take him if you have the chance. Helps you out in every which way possible. Just show up to every class, do the homework and there is no reason why you can't get AT LEAST a B.

He is very helpful and will answer any questions you may have. You have to attend class to really understand what is going on. He will put in as much effort to help you pass, as long as he sees that you are trying to pass and get a good grade as well.
