Comment:

Easiest class I have taken at Hunter. What your grade is based on: attendance, three tests (two midterms and a final), and participation. The tests are very easy and all the questions are multiple choice. She also offers extra credit. Take her class if you need an extra class, but don't want to do a lot of work.

She is really nice and a lenient grader. One group presentation, 2 tests (drops lowest),no hw and final. Subject is interesting, also depends on the class. I normally don't participate at all, but I participated cuz she is very open minded in diff opinions. Must go to class. She's late a lot so lateness doesn't bother her. Gives easy extra credit.

If you're looking for an easy course, take this one! Prof Chin has a very fair grading system and tests are not too bad if you read the textbook. Extremely easy going and most of the material is common sense! Take her!

She uses too many PP slides and the topic becomes tedious. She is a nice lady but I found the topic boring. Her exams can be difficult because of the way she phrases the questions. Besides the exams, she uses participation and attendance to calculate grade.

Scored abysmally (did okay) on exams & participation is worth 20% so I thought I was gonna get a B since I never participated. But she didn't take off points for that cuz she's so understanding & nice (I think she maybe even hinted at the answer on a test for me!). Participating is still easier than other classes since she converses with the class.

Great professor! She's clear, likes students to participate which makes the class more interesting. Also provides great lecture notes. Does take points off for attendance. 4 exams that are straight forward and easy just pay attention, review the notes, and skim the textbook.

her class is simple and to the point. Attendance is mandatory. she will provide study guides for the exams. BUY THE TEXTBOOK, she asks questions like "according to your text" on her exams. If you only study the powerpoint you will get maybe like an 80. Also she loves participation!. Would recommend.

Class is easy but attendance is mandatory because she will deduct points from your final grade. Study the book!!!! She'll ask questions like, "According to the text", so study the book, taking notes not neccessary. She requires a group project, do not take it too seriously. Make a game/quiz out of the presentation so its not boring.

One of the greatest prof at hunter. Trust me, u r lucky if u have her. She is nice and helpful. Knows her stuff. Class can be boring at times but she tries her best. Exams is tricky but study her notes, skim through the txtbook, and u be ok. come to class, participate and you would get the grade you want. If i could, i would take her over and over.

I WISH ALL MY PROFESSORS WERE LIKE HERE. SHE TEACHES ALL WE NEED TO KNOW AND DOENT REQUIRE MUCH BUT TO ATTEND HER CLASS(MUST) AND READ THE CHAPTERS FOR TESTING. VERY SWEET AND CONSIDERATE. ACCURATE AND CLEAR WHEN TEACHING I LOVED HER CLASS! DEFINATELY RECCOMMEND IT TO ANYONE!

Topic: Chinatown & Asian Americans. Best professor for this class! EXTREMELY easy prof: very little writing required other than groupwork for website. Lots of opportunity for extra credit. She's clear & helpful when she teaches, and she doesn't care too much when NO ONE does the reading. I learned a lot considering I put no effort into the class.

Prof. Chin is very nice, helpful, and friendly. I really enjoyed her class; it was a lot of fun. The material is pretty easy and most of it makes sense. She grades fairly and if you participate and pay attention in her classes, your A will be guaranteed.

She's very nice and very easy. Her classes are a bit boring, but she curves tests. The class was kind of common sense, and just reinforced some things I already knew, but that's okay.
