Best teacher I've ever had - A and P, molecular biology - great use of personal drawing as she explained things...graduated in 1996, and still think of her often, wish I had her around for my questions in practice

I should say no one can understand what she's talking about in class. Since she arrange things randomly. Now I'm taking upper division bio, and her class is useless. She is a very good and smart scientist but a horrible instructor.

Bio 1C is a pretty interesting class and Dr. P is a good professor. She is clear,willing to help and approachable. I took this class a year ago. After I transfer to UC Berkeley, I realize how much she prepares us to be competent in upper division bio class. Take her if you can.

If you're taking Bio 1C is probably because you're a science major... guess what? Science is tough and hard! Don't expect Bio 1C to be easy and kick back! It's a very tough class, STUDY! That's what college is about, studying! As far as Dr. Pavlovitch, she teaches what you really need and her main goal is to prepare you for upper division Bio.

Trust me, the demands from dr. P's class are nothin compared to the demands of the actual nursing program(for nursing students). I'm not a BSN student at Mount St. Mary's College. It's only been two weeks and im already fallin wayyyy behind. And i didn't even study for physo as much as im studyin now.

You can tell she really knows her stuff. This was a pretty difficult class but her lectures and lecture notes are what got me through- she has a nice melodic voice and a calm demeanor and is very well organized and willing to help you out.

You MUST go to lecture, because he has fill in lectures that AREN'T on his slides online. He HATES the book/a lot of his slide material is from different books. He only gives you what you need to know (except memorizing who won the nobel prizes; that's like a history lesson). His part of the final was kind of hard, but doable. Tests on concepts!

Hard class, thought she was a hard professor until I figured out her style. She's inexplicably weird, picked on me a couple of times and was unreasonably harsh. It all worked out in the end. Get on her good side!

Bio 1C is a hard class. you must read the book, go to lecture, reread the book to at least pass..Pavlovitch is very sweet and willing to help during office hours or via email. She knows the class is hard and always says "oh im so sry" about the stress level of the class. Its alot of info....the lab is long and tedious

Hmm. Her discussions are interesting coz she relates the material to real life. However, her discussion notes are disorganized (I always get a headache). She's the UNIVERSITY type of professor. I can recommend her if you're really serious bout PHYSO. Class was quite hard but you'll learn a lot.

Exam isn't that hard if you spend time on Dr P's study guide. Be sure to MEMORIZE your answers of the study guide. The exam is hard becuz the material of molecular biology is hard, not because of Dr P's problem. This course is equivalent to 2 courses in UC! Too many stuff to study makes this course difficult!

Comment:

Outstanding knowledge and very helpful. Her lectures are a bit unorganized because of the fact she goes off the top of her head but wait till shes done and ask questions and she will clarify any misunderstanding. Tests are easy if you spend the time on her study guides. The whole test is off the study guide.

Dr. P is not you average science class teacher. She's like the "MAN" of every science class at PCC. She's so freaking tough that you'll learn a lot from her. I only got a C from her class but only coz i took d class 4 granted. I was a B+ studnt at d beginng. Shes also nice n gives help wen u ask. I just ddnt like her lectures cz its messy.

This teacher is SOOOOOOO unorganized. Always tells us one thing but forgets the next day. Her lectures are boring and her test r hard. study the entire book and you will do well, do not just rely on her notes because they are not helpful at all! felt like my longest semester ever! if there is another teacher...take them trust me!!!!!!

The tests are mostly essays but they are durable if you study the material. She answers your ques and her personality is nice, but she is very unorganized and irresponsible with grades and papers.
