Not great at explaining critical concepts. No feedback on tests or quizzes which all have convoluted questions that involve many (unclear!!) layers of thinking. Says that it isn't worth his time to put in grades because we should be able to calculate them from what he hands back. Has little regard for his students understanding of the material.

Dr. Dorman is the worst professor I have ever had, he moves way too fast in lectures and just expects you to know something before he teaches it. Exams are ridiculously hard. He assigns too many homework problems and the problems on the exam are nothing like the homework. Tries to crack stupid jokes. If you get him, good luck.

Dr. Dorman is incredibly intelligent and this is obvious when you speak to him. However, for a student that is really just lost in the material, sometimes he is unable to dumb it down enough for that student to grasp it. Incredibly nice guy!!

Great professor for actually teaching the material, however, he does not teach what is on the exam and expects you to come up with "tricky" ways to solve problems. The quizzes are easy, the lab was easy, the exams were bad but you could still make an A or B with a lot of effort.

Dr. Dorman is a very kind, talented professor. He is gifted at conveying difficult concepts to the rest of us. You may not make an A, but if you work hard, the training you get in 2 semesters with him is second to none. His tests are difficult, but I would still reccommend him highly, even if your grade suffers for it.

He gives most of his attention to his General Chem students. Yet, he is the only professor that teaches Quant. He needs to devote more time to those students in 304 since they are the ones majoring in Chem and not everyone in 121/122 is going to.
