The course will be based on his lectures and a few articles you must understand to do well in the course. He will speak about different aspect of Philosophy and expect you to write out arguments on your own for each exam. There were only 2 tests. Depending on how well you do on the first one, you may have one of the test grades dropped.

He is an okay professor. His lectures are very interesting given the course is interesting in itself. Sadly he is retiring, but he is there for you whenever u need him in class. His class is a little tough, not too bad, and he is always there to help, regardless of the time of day. Overall, he is a decent professor. 8/10

Unless you're interested in philosophy, DO NOT take this class. The material is difficult and Bunzl is hard to follow during lectures. Going to class is essential to passing. Not a bad professor but you won't like this class if you're not interested. We talk about some good topics but it still doesn't make the class interesting.

The topic is not easy . Whoever the professor is you NEED to attend class or you wont pass. Bunzl try's to keep it light but the topics are in essence heavy . If You aren't into this subject dont take it. Little tip : Don't start your answer saying " I feel".

His class is really interesting, I actually enjoyed going. if you're willing to go to class, pay attention and take notes on what he says, and do the readings you should be able to get an A. He's a very animated professor and keeps the lectures really interesting. I'm definitely looking to take another one of his classes.

He is the most interesting person to talk to. His class is hard to concentrate unless you care about philosophy. You dont have to go to class, but you should. And his test isn't as hard as it seems. Good guy, bad class.

Bunzl is a VERY interesting person. Makes the lectures interesting, shouts a lot, and has a odd knack for wearing the same outfit to class. He does expect some effort from you though and as this IS a philosophy class, you need to cooperate with him and THINK. It may be confusing at first but keep at it and you can get a solid B+. Attend class!

My favorite teacher at Rutgers so far. He makes the class entertaining with all of his questions and methods. I got an A and didn't do any of the readings.

Great professor. I didn't really do any of the readings and still got an A. Just make sure you bang out the final exam which is 80% of your grade.

Bunzl is a very, lets say, interesting person. The discussions in class were outrageous (in a good way); the exams were easy; the topics were inspiring. p.s. BLACK T-SHIRT & JEANS. nuff said.

Sometimes can be confusing because his lectures are free-form. Really easy exams they give you all the answers beforehand, you just have to compile them.

One of the best professors I've had. The class seems hard but the papers and exams are easy. You'll learn a lot if you take it.

Bunzl can be very off putting if you don't like the subject matter or don't put effort into understanding it. However he is extremely helpful if you put in the time, and have the ability. He helped me and a few other students pick classes for next semester. He also responds very quickly to emails, and uses the emails as a discussion forum.

He is insane, does not care about what you think and it's mostly interested in listening to his own ideas being repeated back to him. Worst class I have taken at Rutgers.

I just got this guy. He taught the way I learn. The lecture/discussion ratio is good and if you attend class and recitation, if you pay attention you cannot get anything lower than an A. He essentially gives you a list of questions that will be candidates for half of the exam in advance to prepare.

He's ok, but I wouldn't take him again. His lectures are interesting but confusing. He also will tell you you are wrong in front of an entire lecture hall without telling you why. I wanted to talk to him during office hours but he never showed. He's an ok dude, and he's pretty funny, but his teaching leaves much to be desired.

This course would have scared me away from ever taking another philosophy course, and I minored in it. Having an unannounced paper thrown on you at the end of the semester is quite inconsiderate. Not worth it.

The quintessential analytic philosopher. It's like watching Dr. House Diagnose. He's pretty damn rude too. Excellent class.
