Comment:

Lectures are long and slide-heavy but if you take a night class (as I did) it often gets out hours early and is canceled a lot. Honestly you don't have to go to class if you have the diligence to read the book. He has a "it's just points" attitude toward grading so nobody really knows how they're doing, but he accepts late work & grades fairly.

If marketing is not your concentration take him!If it is, still take him. Out of the box approach to marketing concepts.If you want to memorize definition anyone can read a book.Real world experience. He's the VP of marketing for a fortune 500. Will make you think differently which is helpful to any business concentration.Just listen to lectures.

If there's a problem with this course it's the information overkill and a lack of structure and focus. Important to ask very specific questions in order to understand professor's expectations for tests and projects or you'll be disappointed. If you are good at self-study, you can do well.

this class is rediculous. he a nice guy but where does his material for test come from I DONT KNOW. his test are hard. he lectures off of 130 slides each class and its just boring. he is a nice guy but sorry the class is horrible and test will make you each C in class

KANDES IS A COOL GUY LOTS OF REAL WORLD EXPERIEANCE KNOWS ALOT HIS LECTURES ARE VERY INTRESTING AND HE PROVIDES LOTS OF REAL WORLD EXAMPLE OF SUCCESSFUL ASPECTS OF MARKETING IN LARGE FIRMS.

Laid back class. Don't even have to show up (except for videos and midterms/final, of course). Couple outlines to do (5) dealing with marketing and do book report which corresponds to marketing. Midterms off PPTs. Cool guy. Cancelled few of his classes. Class is usually only 2 hours. Overall = Recommended. Better than other "know-it-alls"

This class was not hard at all. Study his pp's and you'll get an A. His tests are very standard, basic concepts of marketing, and multiple choice/T/F's midterm and final. Quite easy. Attendance is not required. Do not buy the BOOK!!!!!Not neccessary! Take this class if you want an A.

This class was easy. He uses a huge PPT presentation that is on his webpage. Study from it and your fine. Barely need to go to class except for videos which are on exams. Exams are based on PPT and videos and pretty easy. Only a few simple writing assignments, midterm, and final.

Bizarre class. Very philosophical approach to marketing. Not a standard "memorize the bold terms in the text" class. Wasn't my thing. Easy class though. Learn the 11 steps and you'll fly through the course. Don't bother buying textbook. His slides have everything. Memorize the broad concepts.

SUPER EASY CLASS! Absolutely no need for the book. 3-4 HW assignments, Midterm, and Final ARE ALL based off his slides, which are available online. I agree with his easy grading...as long as you relate your answers to that 11 steps model....you'll get credit, guaranteed. EASY A+...attendance not nec.

Monday-night-only class and he was on travel for 4 or 5 of them. Incredibly easy course...non-bus. majors needing 130 credit should take this guy. PIECE OF CAKE. 4-5 writing assignments that are easy as long as you apply the key "11-step" terms he talks about. Mid-term and Final are Super easy. No need to buy the book, just study off his slides.

I don't know why people are complaining about him canceling class/letting us out early. That's a GOOD thing for us busy people, right? Easiest class I've had all semester. Midterm/final are a piece of cake (don't bother reading the assigned chapters; focus on slides and bold terms in book). 5-6 writing assignments (grades them relatively hard).

Class lecture has nothing to do with book, let's u out at 8 in a 6-8:45 class, book report, "11-steps" cases, leadership paper, 1 mid, 1 final....if you want to LEARN go somewhere else, if you want to pass take him.

Lectures have no relation to textbook and most test questions are from lectures. Grades on a curve w/unusual calculation method, ask before final if you have any doubt about grade. Tests easy if you attend class. Lots of writing assignments. No clear expectations, limited guidance.
