Great Professor! He has been in the game for awhile. Highly knowledgable in Contsitutional Law. Loves to lecture. Dont worry though, he'll keep it interesting and funny so it's not bad at all. Overall I'd definitely recommend him. Cool dude!

Comment:

This professor's hilarious and really knows his stuff. He's passionate about Con Law, but can easily get sidetracked. I didn't get his book but opted instead for supplements. Worked for me and I ended up with an A-. Pay attention in class because he'll use those same hypos in his final. Side note: Your grade derives from the final and nothing else

Great Professor! Is he hard? YES! The only way to understand anything he says is to honestly read ahead and what happens if you don't? You wont know what's going on. Every Hypo he gives is going to be on his final. I really enjoyed his class and I know Con law better than a lot of people. Lastly, he is always willing to talk so take advantage.

Worst professor ever. He may know his information but cannot teach it at all. His book (that he wrote) reads just as he talks. So confusion. Only talks theory without laying the foundation to understand it. Will NEVER take him again!! RUN AWAY!!!!!!!

Prof. Levy is very hard to understand. He knows the material but that's the problem - he knows it so well that he should be writing heady theory rather than teaching. I kind of needed an interpreter to make sense of the material. He is passionate about the material, but just too heady. I did well enough in his classes. He'd be a great clerk-advisor to the intellectuals and judges who want deep theory. The secret to his material is to simplify and make it practical and relevant.

RUN!!!! His class is hard to follow. He is not clear. Luckily, I took Con Law in undergrad so I had a great understanding before hand. The book is not helpful because it is written how he talks. I made a B- with lil to no reading. Also, he spends most of his time on taxpayer standing to sue, commerce clause and everything is a general disscusion.

I agree. Levy is an expert in Fed Jur and teaches as if he's talking to a group of experts. I think he forgets that it our first class in Fed Jur. It's as if he teaching a PHD class where the whole field of study has been fed jur. His lectures are over the top and you leave the class feeling like you do not know what you know. His Exam-Crushing!

I can understand why some law students are apprehensive about Marty Levy--he tries to impart a deep understanding, and a deep understanding can be hard to grasp. If you can follow him, though, he's great. I took fed jur from him as a 2L having never hea

Poor guy knows the subject backwards and forwards but can't teach it worth a darn. One of those profs who ask you to run and jump before they've made sure you can take a step.
