She is really nice. but I would not lie you need to read and be in class to pass the class. She is really helpful and always give good feedback. her class is based in 2 papers, 4 group projects (really easy group projects) , quizes, participation and the final exam.

Good professor. Very passionate about theology. Helpful. Probably impossible if you have no understanding of Catholicism, though; seemed to be the main focus of the course (though I had hoped it would integrate more than just that). If you don't like religion, I would recommend taking the philosophy transfer course.

Nice teacher but WAY too many LONG articles that you MUST read in order to do well. Not worth it for a 100 level class. Tough midterm...12 questions on any random facts from class and an essay. Not clear in what she expects.

Impossible to get an A, i really wish I hadn't listened to all her good comments because they're misleading. DO NOT TAKE THIS IS YOU ARE IN A SORORITY, she totally hates people that are greek. She is AMAZING! She ALMOST made me want to cahnge my major from Poli Sci to Theology. Don't let closed-minded conservatives who refuse to hear a different perspective scare you away from the best class and prof. of your life. This was an eye-opening, amazing class with a wonderful professor.

I think people who say she is "against God" most likely don't understand that questioning your faith is not evil. Susan is brilliant and while challenging, her goal is to cause YOU to REFLECT on YOUR beliefs by presenting FACTS about texts, history, religious insitutions, and customs. She is a woman of strong and respectable faith.

EXCELLENT professor - very knowledgable, she is in the top of her field, which adds a lot to her credibility. leads interesting discussions, especially if you are interested in the material already. a critical grader, but if you put effort into papers, you can do well. highly recommended!

Interesting class, lectures can be a bit banal. Quizzes are easy, tests require studying, listening reports are a pain in the rump, but are manageable. She totally complicates the point-breakdown for grades. She is nice and helpful if you have problems.

Prof Ross is such a nice teacher!! Sometimes her lectures can get boring, but she tries her hardest to keep you entertained. We have 4 listening reports but you can drop the lowest one. Also if you read the material before you come to class, then the quizes will be a breeze.
