Took a summer course. Maybe reg semester wouldn't be as bad. Very fast paced. Lectures were 4 hours. Too long. Majority of class seemed confused. Interesting stories that have nothing to do with tests. Basically have to try to self teach from textbook. He gives formulas and explains a few specific ways he wants to see questions answered for tests.

Comment:

Took FIN 607 over the summer session. Each class is 4 hrs long (with 15 min break) but meets only 4 times in July. Midterm (40%), Mini-Case (20%), and Final (40%). All take home and open book on Blackboard. You have the weekend for the midterm, a week for the mini-case and 4 hours for the final. And there's a curve at the end! Need I say more??

Plenty of time to complete assignments and ask professor questions. Overall not a hard grader. As long as you can demonstrate you under stand the concepts being taught you will be fine.

His lectures are lengthy. The material is tough, however I showed up, did the work and got an A. He rambled alot, but he curves the tests- so that's good! I'd take him again.

Great class for an easy A. He's just talking most of the class and throws in jokes here and there. Online tests which you have all weekend to do (Friday night-Monday morning). Would take him again for sure.

I had him for corporate finance and capital and money markets. The classes where not difficult at all and as a finance major I learned a lot. It is impossible for someone not to get an bad grade unless he/she totally slacks off and is never in class. He speaks english much better than I expected.

The course is admitedly rather difficult to follow since the topic covered is specific. Though I found that if one can not understand his classes, just give up finance! It might be time for you to consider another career path. Explanations are clear and a bit of personal work does not hurt, right?

Don't do it to yourself! Smart man, terrible professor! All he does is read his powerpoint slides and talk about which brokers pay better than others or about all the degrees he has. The tests are ridiculous! His response is that we weren't reading the book as if we were taking a test... Right... Maybe good for FIN major? But not for anyone else!

This guy is awful! Tests are the hardest I have taken in my life. This guy thinks the rest of the class is on the same experience level as him. Very aloof guy who can irritate you w/ all the statements about how smart he is and how much money he has.

This Prof gets a bad rap. He is one of the smartest profs at the university. If you want to learn take him. I had to work hard for his class but I received an A because I produced good work. I am no genius. Anyone taking his class should feel luck. You aren't going to get many chances to learn from someone who as much to offer as him.

LISTEN TO ME! If a 4.0 student can't get higher than a B- after working their ass off, YOU ARE ALL SCREWED! My GPA was RUINED. All this guy did was read from the slides, then gave out tests that *maybe* experienced financial consultants could take. UNBELIEVABLE! DO NOT TAKE HIM! DROP HIM IF YOU HAVE HIM!

please, drop his class, he really doesn't know how to teach at all. u have 100% chances to get very low very low grade. His grading system is weird and learn nothing in class. you end up hating Finance. Try your best to take our professor's class if you don't want to fail this course, by the way, u might like to fail you even though you go to class
