Seemed like she would be an enjoyable professor, with her numerous years of teaching, but since she came out of retirement the class was nothing but a HOT MESS. To pass this class you have to teach yourself. She is unreceptive when asking questions and calls you out/yells at you. Take at your own risk. Would NEVER take a class from her again

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! I've never had a professor so willing to help! Homework is online and so is the book. "Overview" is non graded but is great practice!! Read your sections and take notes and failing won't be an option.

Comment:

The best math professor I have ever had. I have had her three times and would take her again if given the chance, but she isn't teaching at my level anymore. I actually enjoy math when I take her. She is very willing to help you. There are no study guides and 70+ problem homework assignments, but it makes you, LEARN! The book is essential.

Maureen is awesome! Very clear and thorough! Hated math before this class, love it now! All homework is online, online book too! Replies to hw responses almost instantly! Gives a few pop quizzes! You will do fine if you read the sections and take notes in class! You have a week or more to complete assignments. Average of 25 questions on hw!

Worst math class I have ever taken. I have never had trouble with math until this class. She yells a lot and messes up constantly when explaining things on the board. She expects you to read and learn most of the material on your own because class time is "too short" to teach it all to us. Definitely the hardest class I have taken so far in college

Do Not Take Her. She was terrible. Her tests were difficult and you don't get credit for at least trying the problem. She wasn't very clear on her lectures and she seems kind of in a rush to finish. She's also kind of strict and always saying I'm going to drop for this and that. There's only three exams and a final. Can't use calculators either .

I used to hate math before I took this class. Dupont is a wonderful teacher and shows you a lot of great tips and tricks that you never learned in grade school. I HIGHLY recommend her!

Maureen is the best math teacher in the World. She is so helpful and tries her best to not rush through the lessons. She is awesome. I took her last semester and now finishing this semester with her also. She makes math fun and enjoyable. I love sitting in her class. Take her. You will not regret it.

She is the best math teacher I have ever encountered. Her teaching is a gift. She is patient with all her students. She really cares about you. She makes math fun to learn. I love her. I never enjoyed math til i enrolled in her class. Thats a miracle.

She was one of the most helpful professors I have ever had. I highly recommend her. She cared for her students and took so much of her time and effort out to help anyone in need of math help, even people that are not in her class. She was great.

She is great teacher. I never had anyone explain math so well. I have missed like 6 days and she is still cool. She makes sure that you really understand. She will answer any questions you have. She loves to give quizes, sometimes every class. She always assign odds for homework out of the book. You have to have the book!

I have never had a teacher that explains math so well. She makes sure you know the basics so you get the concept. Very helpful. Quizzes are her favorite things to see if you did her homework. She also makes herself available for one on one tutoring. great help!

This teacher really knows her stuff. She explains the materials well and to make sure the class is following through. A typical day would consist of lecture on 2 sub-chapters in a day, a few problems to work out, and for homework, do the odds in the book (as much as you feel like you need to) she doesn't collects them. So no required work!

She is a good teacher she writes alot down on the white board. She does teach fast but we had lots of materieal to cover. Don't believe what people in math 15 said. Math 15 is the easiest math class 1+1=2 ? You can finish math 15 in six weeks in self pace. Im sure she is a great math 15 teacher also

Gave me a B for my progress report, see's that im trying and doing the work and turns around and gives me a D. At first I thought she was understanding that I have math fear but then I learned the hard way, and that was when I saw my final grade for the class.

Don't believe a word she says when she gives you a "deal" to pass her class. I came every day, I did the homework, and I made the "deal" with her, and she still gave me a "D". She explains things way too fast on the board, and complains when nobody does their homework, but I DID do my homework, and it still did not make a difference. AVOID TAKIN

Over half of our class failed. When she taught something on the board, she went extremely fast, and then expected you to understand it. She complained that nobody did homework, however, she did not make homework mandatory either.
