Very tough grader which is normally fine, but he isn't specific about test material. Seems to favor some students over others.

A class with Dr. Hunt is like a 90 minute TED talk. He's also hilarious.

He's a strict grader, has strong opinions, and sometimes rambles, but his knowledge and passion are undeniable. He keeps up with the scholarship on Renaissance writers and can explain difficult concepts well. Grades are based on reports and a research paper. Great person to know if you're into Shakespeare or Spenser.

One of my favorite professors in the entire English department. The man has published more than 120 scholarly articles, written 4 books, and edited numerous translations of Shakespeare's works. If you're an English major, this is definitely a man to know, as it's not often you can claim to have been taught by a world-renown Shakespearian authority.

Liked him. His class was interesting, and he was always very friendly. Also, he had students read the plays aloud. He has a good attitude and is enthusiastic about his subject.

If you drive a Beemer and your mommie is an English teacher, you'll get a good grade for doing nothing. Hunt has no integrity whatsoever.

Has his flaws, but I've never heard someone explain difficult concepts so well. He can even talk about all the different levels of allegory in The Faerie Queene in a coherent way without being confusing.

If you're having a hard time, cite one or more of HIS books in your research. He LOVES it! In general, he does grade VERY hard, but he's a very enlightening teacher.

Knows a whole lot about Shakespeare. A nice guy, but can be intimidating. I recommend taking him.
