This class is super lengthy. If you're thinking of taking this class just to take be prepared to write long papers. The teacher is unclear and will never get back you rather via email, voicemail... its veyr difficult to find her but she is understanding if you have emergencies.

Good news... this lady is retiring! TONS of busy work! I got an A in the class & learned nothing! She likes to trick the students instead of trying to prepare them. She does not remind class of upcoming tests or when major projects are due. She says snidely "it's in the syllabus" THE DAY OF!! Boring lectures & lame work. Take someone else.

totally unfair professor. Did all the work and did not receive credit for most. Wrote a 6 page essay and received 0 credit. how is that even possible?! Did well on all tests and still failed. Would not recommend.

The work isn't too hard, just very time consuming. She never lets you know your grade throughout the semester so you never know how you're doing until the last day which kinda sucks. There are a lot of small projects and busy work in the class. I would only recommend if you're extremely interested in child development

The class may not be the best ever but in my opinion she is worth taking. Her tests are easy because the answer is the only one that makes sense. She is not rude! If you do the work, she will give you credit for it. Easy A if you follow her guidelines.

She is a very mean and rude person! She will never answer your questions and from time to time she will acuse you of using your cell phone in class if you have your hands in your pockets.....Her tests are really hard, and her lectures are extremely boring. Do not take her!

You could work so hard through out the semester and get B's and C's on all the tests and 100% on all your observations and interviews and fail the class just because the child study wasnt up to her standards. Its really stupid. This womans grading scale is out of whack!

she is a pretty easy teacher if you put forth some effort. she lets you turn in things for a re-grade, but u can only get up to a B on the re-graded assign. its pretty chill class. you have to do online tests.. they suck but if u study those u will be good for the tests. I would guess she would be the easiest teachers- but u still learn criteria.

I agree!!! Has the take home final which good, she gives 100% on those, but when it gets to the child study you do the same amount of effort and work, she fails you and tells you " It was not up to her standards"! I hear that there are way better professors for CHLD 10 take them please

she was horrible.. first half of the semester was easy cos she didnt give out any assignments but then second half she just bombards us with so much work.. it was ridiculous...we had to do a child study and shes not good at answering questions and it didnt even say when things were due on the syllabus..hated her with a passion

She is a great teacher. Class is easy. Online Pretests and Posttests are easy points. It helps you get good grades on the exams. She doesn't care much on how well you do on exams because all the 7 exams you will take is only about 20 percent of your grade. Attendance, observations, interviews, etcetera(the fun stuff) will be worth more.

Comment:

Good teacher. Takes alot of notes, but the test is on all the notes. Easy test if you study the notes, or the summaries in the book after each chapter. Child reviews and the interviews are easy and she goes over them.
