Professor Compton is a great professor for literature. His class is considerably easy to pass. Its important to be in class everyday because he gives out pop quizzes which are simple. Overall, he is a pretty straightforward professor but he is also funny and kind! I suggest taking his class.

I didn't love most of the novels assigned to the class, but Mr. Compton kept the lectures interesting. Most of the books were classics, so it was pretty easy to either find a PDF online or in a used bookstore. Don't expect to be out of class before the scheduled end time. It's not going to happen. I would definitely take a class with him again.

I put "test heavy," but it's actually quiz heavy instead. Despite this, the quizzes are very easy as long as you do the reading! I loved being in Mr. Compton's class. He's very knowledgeable about African-American literature, and he's also very funny. You do have papers to write, but there's only three of them. Definitely ould recommend this class!

Mr. Compton's class was super easy. We only had 3 short papers, quizzes over reading material (most were multiple choice), weekly online discussions, and occasional group work. Loved this class!

Mr. C was a great professor, and this class was so interesting. We had 3 very short papers (all 1,000 words or less), a midterm, a final, weekly online discussions and daily quizzes at the beginning of each class. READ THE STORIES, AND YOU WILL PASS THE QUIZZES EASILY. He always goes into detail about the stories during lecture. Would take again.

Such a great teacher. Very easy and super easy going. You do quizzes about three times a week on whatever the reading was, and the readings are fairly short. There are only 3 major tests; 2 midterms and the final. You have 3 papers but they only have to be 500 words long! You have a chance to earn 40+ points of extra credit. Great teacher!!

One of the finest instructors of English you will encounter. He is motivating, inspiring, devoted, and passionate. I was privileged to take several courses from Michael Compton during my undergraduate years, and I have consistently recalled the lessons I learned during my time in those courses. Exemplary character, exemplary instructor. Period.

The semester begins with films. He requires you to write which could kill your grade. He lectures a lot on writing styles and the typical "Youre in college now." Slightly pompous and hard to talk to. He is very passionate and can teach well. Once the films are over, then the remainder of the semester is group projects. MidtermFinal Open book.

Professor Compton is extremely enthusiastic and knowledgable about literature. However, it is hard to make an A in this class because his exams and writing assingments are typically vauge and confusing. He is, though, willing to help if you need help.

Mr. Compton is very enthusiastic about teaching. He will give random reading quizzes from the textbook but they aren't worth that many points. He was very willing to help. Not an easy A but the class isn't very hard. You will never get out early!

Prof Compton class is diffcult I read much and write much too. Why he gotta be so diffcult, dont make no sense. I wish he made old time literature more understandable and relateable.

He assigns an unreal amount of work. You will do more reading in this class than you will in all other literature courses combined. Also, the Essay prompts are extremely vague. This class with Professor Compton will have you questioning your existence in life. Stay Away.

He is very mean. He thinks he is superior to everyone else. Wrote some mean comments on a paper I turned in. Assigns a lot of homework, and assigns papers earlier than other teachers. His class is extremely boring!!! DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER!!!

Easily one of my favorite professors. He's laid back and chill and actually talks about current events that can relate to the subject material. Just go to class and do the work; he'll work with you if you contribute to class (he let a few of us turn in missed assignments because we helped in class).

This is a difficult teacher. He gives excessive reading assignments daily tests. He allows 1 missed class and after that he takes off 15 points for each absence. He grades really hard. There was only 1 A in my class. He will not give any credit for partial correct answers. Make sure you keep all graded assignments cause he does make mistakes.
