Comment:
Had Professor Gordon when I was a grad student at Tennessee 40 years ago; he was young and so was I. The comments that I'm reading could've been written then less the references to his age. You students don't realize that this is the kind of professor academia needs -- bright, honest, motivating, and iconoclastic.

Gordon is a nice old guy but his tests are hard. You only have 3 exams, no homework. He offers extra credit but it doesn't help your grade much. If you have a photographic memory, take this. If not, get ready to work your ass off for an A cause it won't be easy.

Gordon is a nice person, explains everything, willing to help duting office hours. But his tests are hard. You MUST know EVERYTHING in order to get a good grade on his tests. If you are ready to memorize his slides and a book word by word then take him. His questions are very tricky.

Makes easy material very hard/tricky for NO REASON. He is a great professor/lecturer don't doubt that. But it all seems easy in class and when he explains it- not the same on the exams. Complicates the simplest concepts. You have to know concepts word for word, and slide line by line. Takes A LOT OF STUDYING. Ppl who get As in harder classes get Bs

His exams are are in mc format. 4 choices per question. 2 are obviously false. but he makes the remaining 2 choices extremely subtle. You gotta know the material inside and out.

Difficult class to get an A in. It's pretty straightforward. Memorize everything. But there will be a handful of questions he puts on every exam that everyone gets wrong, just keeping you out of the A range. Definitely do the extra credit if it is offered.

and btw, these kids are saying he's the best because they all got A's. I would have too if I had put in any effort and I totally realize that! Again, not business material. Not even CLOSE to being the best at RBS. Attendance mandatory is supposed to be for kindergarten old guy!!

Stay away!got a bad grade but thats my fault not his. i put in 0 effort i know. Class is not super difficult!HOWEVER a very memorize->exam->forget one. NOT what RBS needs if it wants to have a reputation. This professor is clueless about teaching, kids love him because they adore him. Found him unprofessional. Learned nothing. MIKE, TIME TO RETIRE!

It is rare to find a prof who not only knows the material, has lived it, makes you interested in it, and is understandable, while making class fun; and Gordon has got it all! Tests are on the difficult side, but are FAIR. Inclass examples and txtbook material all appear on each exam. Email if interested in purchasing the book.

Prof. Gordon is a very interesting teacher. He proves that he knows his material, and he doesn't just stand up there and talk away. He actually makes it interesting for us, with he powerpoint slides and sound-effects. His tests are a little bit on the hard side, but if you take notes, print out the slides, and read the text...it is very doable...!!

Prof. Gordon is one of the best the biz school has to offer. Very fair, genuine good guy. Tests are all m.c., you MUST read/study to do well. He makes the class very interesting for what could easily dull material with the wrong professor.

Study powerpoint slides and articles and you'll do well in this class. Prof. Gordon nice, but somewhat sarcastic and not very flexible. Was my easy class this semester. Midterms multiple choice; makeup 5 essay questions so don't miss in-class midterms.

This prof. stands out in the business school. He really cares about his students and has a sense of humor. Contrary to what SOME ppl say, his class is NOT HARD unless you're either too lazy to attend or just plain don't read over the notes. It's an easy A! Hint--take down all of his examples that he says in class, b/c they WILL show up on tests

Listen, if the teacher puts that much effort in making the class somewhat fun and interesting (especially a business school teacher), you should take him. Exams aren't cake, but they're very doable. Print out his slides, and take notes on them!

Funny, old, unhelpful. Tricky questions on exams that he doesn't even know what the correct answer is on many occasions. Keeps class interesting w/ tootsie rolls, but still a jerk at heart.

Great professor. He gives you every chance to get the A in that class. Just read his notes and the chapters and the tests are cake. Everyone who says the tests are hard just didnt read the chapters/notes. I studied for each one the night before and got an easy A.
