Lots of good information and pictures of real construction sites. I would definitely suggest this course if you want to design houses. AutoCAD is the main base software - wish Revit was used....

Comment:

DRF150 was a fairly straight forward class. Be prepared to create several large sheets for a residential home design. He gives you very clear examples to work from. Overall a good course to take if you enjoy architectural drafting. Best to make each lecture.

i ask for help and i get ignored. he expects a floor-plan to be done with no example to look at. I practically saved my entire class that term.

I found that Mr. Kelly did an excellent job in DRF131. He was very attentive to the students needs. You must attend lecture and take notes.

I felt he has no passion for the class he was teaching. He was monotone, which impacts how his lecture is. Unwilling to work with students schedule or help students. I had to switch mid term due to his teaching skills.

Dislikes repeating instructions. Makes condescending remarks and chastises you if you should know better. Lectures and demonstrations are rapid fire and presumptuous. Just don't goof off; stay on schedule.

I have a much easier time getting the work done and understanding it than in my first class. His style is relaxed. I've had no problem getting questions answered, he's knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I like the website with actual examples and narrative for the new procedures if you need for both preview and review.

Not a very good teacher. Seems to hate his job, so your screwed if you end up with this hack. Most days he lectured for 5 minutes or less, and made you teach yourself for 1 or 2 hours whilehe went and graded papers from other classes. Definately non responsive to questions from class memebers. A waste of money and time.

Mr. Kelly was one of the worst instructors I had at Chemeketa Community College. He wasn't helpful when you needed help and in fact he yelled sometimes at students for asking questions. I would definitely take drafting from some other instructor besides Mike Kelly. A sorry instructor!

I've had Mike for many classes and I've really enjoyed being in his classes.He's a nice guy who's easy to approach with any problems.He always is nearby if you need help with anything. He's also easy to talk to and he enjoys interacting with his students
