LOVED this class and Dr. Day. He is very laid back and personable. As long as you go to class and study, the course isn't too hard. He is always willing to help if you need it. He held my attention in class. Didn't use the textbook at all. I would love to take him again if he wasn't leaving OSU:(

STUDY A LOT! The class average on our first exam (covering reproduction and digestive systems in different species) was a 67.3%. After that, the class average on his midterms (covering breeds of species) were C's. It's not too hard of a concept, but a lot of time needs to be put in this class. The lab, however, is an easy A.

I loved having Dr. Day. Going to his class was a lot of fun! The material is not too hard, but there is a lot of memorization to it. Just make sure you study his lecture notes and go to lecture so you understand the material. He's very helpful with anything you have questions on.

Dr. Day is a lot of fun. His quizzes and exams are super easy, if you just read his lecture notes (which are posted online). If you need this class for your major, definitely take him winter quarter instead of Peffer any other quarter...she's terrible.

He's also my freshman advisor so I'm alittle bias, but he's a great teacher. He only teaches this class winter qtr and I've heard not so good things about pfeffer. So try to fit hsi class if you can. We never used the textbook. Just study his lecture notes, he gives you everything you need. But you need to go to lecture to undertand it.

the easiest class since at osu(3rd yr). don't buy the book. just kno all the #'s, ranks and %'s of everything in slides. class only necessary if you want the ec 'pop quizzes' i only studied the night before the exam and got a's. IT'S MEMORIZATION!!! no applications. should not be difficult at all! there is partial credit. he's really nice too!

First of all, the exams were so convoluted I wanted to scream. Poorly worded, multiple answer questions graded without partial credit. Ridiculous. Plus, he wasn't even there for the last 2 weeks. Never answered emails, either. Even if you know the material, the exams are weird enough to confuse the hell out of you.

He's a nice guy and very knowledgeable, but the exams are confusing and difficult. The format is something like "choose all of the above that apply" or "use this answer more than once or not at all". Those are the most CONFUSING types of tests and it's very frustrating. Also, labs are mandatory but lecture is not.

Awesome prof. Don't buy textbook. He tests straight from powerpoint slides and lectures. Very nice ad approachable. Material itself is easy, just ALOT of info if you are a newbie to AS. He test numbers alot too...percentages, figures, etc. So after awhile they geta little confusing. Note of good advice, memorize E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G on slides!

I had Day for AnSci 200 and also as my academic advisor my freshman year. He is very approachble and laid back. He only teaches in the winter- and is much easier than the other 200 profs. As an advisor he was extremely helpful and made me feel like I was going to get through all my classes just fine. Great guy in and out of class.

Likeable prof. There aren't too many people who have taught for more than 5 years that manage to smile like he does: It's almost as if he's laughing (he probably is). The reason to show up to class? Extra credit. Most (98%) of the material on exams comes directly from the slides (but may require decoder ring). The labs make the class worthwhile.

Awesome teacher! If you want a guy that sounds like he just came off the farm, someone you can relate to, take Dr. Day! I thouroughly enjoyed his class. He was very enthusiastic about teaching and test very fairly. He definitely loves his livestock!
