By far the best teacher I've had at Chapman. Lewis is the most caring teacher I've ever had and you can tell she definitely wants you to get the best grade you possibly can.

Professor Lewis is very passionate about the topic, however she is very unclear about assignments and strays from the syllabus a lot. I never knew when reading assignments were due and found it very hard to stay on schedule. She cares about her students a lot, but you really have to pay attention in class.

Prof. Lewis does a great job at making her lectures really engaging, interactive, & entertaining. She truly cares about her students & provides great feedback on papers. You have to pay attention in class & engage in the material in order to do well because it is not an easy A. Overall a very fun class, I learned a lot, and really enjoyed Mildred.

2 Essays, 2 Tests, and 1 Final. In class, she does go off on tangents and she does has ambiguous grading instructions and criteria -- so it is difficult to know what she is looking for. However, she tells you exactly what is going to be on your tests and final. Quizzes are take home, and final was exactly what we expected. Such a caring professor!

She is funny and engaging person, but it gets faded away by her lecture heavy teaching style and convoluted topics that she covers. The begining of the class is rather interesting but once class gets to further topics the teaching becomes chaotic and somewhat unorganized (or at least it seems like that).

I loved Mildred, however, her class is very sporadic and it is difficult to follow along. Just take notes on anything she says and study the notes and power points and you'll be fine. She's really a great and smart women, I loved her.

This class started off to not be my favorite but I slowly started to enjoy it. She doesn't enter grades fast enough and can come off as harsh if you don't like participating. She doesn't really explain the process of writing a screenplay so you kind of just have to figure it out. But screenwriting is fun and it's clear she genuinely cares.

If you pay attention during lecture and review power points, you will be able to be successful on the midterm and final. Unfortunately, no matter how well you are doing in the class(which is mostly common sense)your attendance is mandatory and will affect your grade. Lectures are unorganized, hard to follow, and repetitive.

Professor Lewis is amazing, super nice lady and genuinely cares for all of her students. The class wasn't too difficult because Mildred really wanted everyone to learn, so she is always available to help and makes herself extremely accessible at all times.

Extremely vague in most of the things she teaches. She jumps around from topic to to topic sporadically. Everything she says is either common sense, knowledge or could be derived from logical thinking, so it is difficult to participate without sounding like captain obvious. Definitely do not recommend if you are an introvert with little patience.

It's very confusing on what we are learning in class but I don't know if that's just because it's a FFC. I feel like I haven't learned from this class so I don't feel motivated. There's barely any hw so that's good.

She's a sweet person but can get on your nerves. Very vague when it comes to lecturing. We were never quite sure what we were being taught, because the curriculum was so scattered. Classes are very lecture heavy, and you need to notice every detail. I personally would prefer to not take one of her classes again, but some people love her.

I found this professor to be very condescending to the students, and most of her jokes during class were disrespectful. She is angered when she feels the class time is being wasted, however every time it is her own side comments that waste the most time in class. I would never take a class under this professor ever again.

Professor Lewis is extremely knowledgable, and it's clear that she cares about her students. Keep in mind that she's very eccentric (and sometimes not necessarily in the best way). The class itself can be pretty hard at times, and sometimes the lectures given aren't always clear and may not always relate to the topic of class.

You have to do the work, there's no getting around that- but she's very good at what she does. She's very passionate and I feel like she's open-minded especially for a class called Faith in Popular Culture. It's a great class, I would take it again.
