She talks as fast as you can think and has awful hand writing. Exam averages were around 50-60%. Not much work outside of exams, so nothing to help bring your grade up. Also, has the tendency to be rude to students as witnessed.

Very tough grader. Exams cover a good 5-6 chapters of reading plus lecture. Our first exam had a median score of 50 percent, which I think is reflectent of her as a professor. She goes through lecture very fast with little explanation. She does have a good sense of humor sometimes.

Nancy is the best! Kinda crazy but it makes you remember how to do stats homework and prepare for her exams. If you want to be able to use something you learn in class for real life problems take her class.

Her class is very hard and is unhelpful. In class she goes really fast through everything with little explanation. But you have to show up to class or else you will be lost. Good luck.

Comment:
Probably the worst teacher I have ever had in my undergrad and graduate experience. The comments she leaves on your exams and assignments are condescending and trite. She provides absolutely no feedback on discussion, which is a majority of the class. Her lack of feedback on discussion for an online course was impersonal and uninspiring.

She writes her notes as she lectures them, her handwriting is terrible, and she talks really fast. She covers A LOT of material every class, so don't plan on skipping any classes unless you want to fail. She tests you on terms/concepts that you may not have talked about at all in class, so be sure to do the hw and read/take notes for every chapter.

She's really funny. She's a bit tough with some things but she's very fair with grading and she only does it so you learn and are prepared. Don't skip that's where you learn everything. You don't really need to read the book but the homework helps tons.

This profs was one of the worst I have ever had! Her handwriting is IMPOSSIBLE to read, and her lectures are extremely boring. When you ask questions, she makes you feel so dumb. The class also has no quizzes, so your grade relies on homework and 3 DIFFICULT tests. DONT TAKE THIS PROF

Burnett is a very passionate teacher who knows a lot about her subject. Pros: She is pretty hardcore, but if you work hard and pay attention, you will get a minimum of a B. Answers questions that you ask and is respectful. Curves tests very strongly. Cons: Does not allow laptop use. Fast pace. Likes to remind us we are adults and life is not easy..

Work on the homework with another person. Her handwriting is very hard to read but don't be afraid to ask what her notes say. Really study for the tests and ask questions when you are confused. Try and study with someone.

If you struggle with math caution to take Nancy. She doesn't give very clear lectures and there's a lot of notes she has you take. Highly recommend going to each class otherwise you won't know what's going on. Homework is difficult and exams are even harder.

Homework doesn't line up with similar professors and her curriculum is far away from the standard, making it hard to use outside resources to study. Tells cheesy jokes and doesn't allow computers at all.

Really great professor! She tells it like it is and makes a few jokes that are super cheesy. As long as you come to class and pay attention, you should be fine. DO THE HOMEWORK! You will not pass if you don't. She always answers questions and if you can't read something she writes, just ask. Find buddy to email if you miss class. Great class!

One of the worst professors I have had. Extremely difficult compared to the other Economics professors. I know this because I failed her class and have retaken it. She goes off on tangents and makes everything way more difficult than it truly needs to be.

Comment:
She was honestly awful in this course, not so much in Economics 204. I had expected good things, but she didn't read off the book and wasted much of class on random asides about her life. She means well but when you can hardly read her handwriting, well... I ended up dropping this course at the last minute. She grades on a very favorable curve.

Comment:
For this course she is a fine professor. Don't expect anything special, she is a little blunt in responses, and you might be thrown off. She recommends most students that get a B or better to become Economics majors, so don't be overly excited if that happens... There are just three exams if I remember right, and online homework.

Comment:
Taking her as an online class, so relying on the textbook and the commentary she provides, which is basically a summary of the textbook. She responds to class questions with sarcastic and cryptic answers, which is really unhelpful. She also grades homework with sarcastic answers. Not sure how that is teaching. Lots of homework and reading.

Comment:
Tough class. The content is tricky to learn and if you don't attend class, you are missing a lot of information. The textbook is really really dry (Yes, even for a textbook. extra dry) The tests are long and very difficult. The one upside is that the curve she uses is insane. Maybe take this course with a different professor..

Nancy is a cool lady and all but not a real good professor. I struggled in her class. She makes you work for a good grade (as college should be) which I think is right of her. Reason why I did not like this class is she is very unorganized and has awful handwriting. She is accessible outside of class. Her tests are moderately difficult.

Dr. Burnett is great! She is kind of sassy, but has good points when she is. Her lectures are full of material but if you study you will be fine! The homework is a lot, but honestly I wouldn't have gotten an A without spending the time doing it, worth it! Lastly, she responds SUPER fast to emails. Would take again in a heartbeat!
