She makes the class way more in depth than it needs to be. She grades harder than any other teacher I've had and used to go to a university. She goes above and beyond on docking points off if you missed one question. ex: to answer a question, she gave links. The link to the question was down, i provided a screenshot and still got points docked off.

At NOVA, a PE class is taken seriously. Don't skip her class or you might not do well at the end of the course. You have to turn in your HW in on time or else your grade drops. Other than that she plays some awesome music while working out and she's helpful and very informative.

If you don't do the assignments right she demolishes your grade. It's do the work or fail miserably. Her class can be overwhelming for a PED online class. She provides too little credit points for an assignment. You literally write 7 paragraphs for like 3-5 points. I had to bust my butt to keep an A.

Fairly easy class. Make your own workouts when doing the online class. Assignments due each week and she will give you feedback. The only thing is that I wish she had given us criteria of what our final exam was on. Wasn't sure what to study for it.

Get ready to get WHIPPED into shape. I dropped at least one pants-size taking her class. I loved the physical side of this class. The book/paper part was a LOT harder to keep up with.

Expect a LOT of work. More work than you would have ever expected from an online Phys Ed class. Don't plan on turning anything in late; assignments are given low point values as-is, and point reduction for late work is FIRM. Buy the textbook, you'll regret it if you don't.

If you do not have easy access to a PC, do not take this class (or any online NOVA PE). The "textbook" is a CD program that is not compatible with Mac. I live too far from NOVA campus to go there for computers. Libraries and other campuses (I live near another university) don't allow the program to be run on their computers.

This course is tough! The material itself if straightforward. However, she is a very hard grader. She expects tons of details in your answers to the simplest questions. Her homework assignments are overwhelming, her tests are all short answer and essay with no word bank or multiple choice. I had to take this course twice to receive a B.

I enjoyed the physical part of the class, but the paperwork SUCKED. I was so not prepared for all that paperwork, and if you're not one to mix homework with exercise, rethink this course. She's very tough on you, and really makes you work up a sweat the first ten minutes you're there. On the plus side, she makes that "Summer body" reality for you.

This class is awesome, First hour is lecture then the rest is working out. She seems tough during lecture then turns into the happiest lady ever during the workout. Her tests are super easy and she tries to prepare you for them. I lost 6% body fat during her class. TAKE HER!

If you are above a certain body fat %, you have to lose at least 2% body fat by the end of class. This created anxiety in me because I am fat and pretty lazy, but still managed it. I signed up for a 2 credit version not realizing I only needed 1, so i signed up for more work than was necessary, so be careful that you don't make the same mistake.

She's not that bad. It's a physical class so expect that. As long as you are trying she doesn't care. I quit smoking and have continued to work out after this class. If you try you can learn a lot, and just attend and participate. DO THE HOMEWORK! If you want an A, it's easy stuff people.

It was an easy class. The assignments were easy. But she was TOO STRICT on the due dates. I turned several of my assignments in, but got ZEROS FOR THEM ALL, because they were late. Didn't even get partial credit. It was extremely upsetting. I did all the work perfectly, yet FAILED the class because of that. Keep the due dates in mind or you'll pay.

For a one credit class, she goes WAY over the top. I can't fault her, though, because she promises that if you participate, you'll lose 2% body fat or more, and I did. You'll really need to watch hydration and nutrition while you're in this class, but you'll get the grade you earn.

Let me just start with I got a C in PE and I am highly athletic.... with that said.. I did enjoy this class. We played a lot of fun games i.e. tag, flag football etc. but the dietary project she has us do is HORRIBLE. The reason why I got a C. The class itself was fun though.

Not a hard class, but probably more work for a PE class than what you’d expect. Part of grade involves improving health-wise. Crippen can seem a bit harsh, which may work for some, but discourage others. She’ll work with your individual needs. Great class if you really want to improve your health & fitness. Not so great if you want easy PE credit.

One of the worst teachers I've ever had. She grades way to hard for a health teacher and is unforgiving with her grades too. Not the friendliest either and doesn't email you back.
