Mr. Olmsted is one of those professors who will really challenge you to be a college student. He is such a nice person and is willing to help students anytime. When I asked to meet with him some other time he was always there. He is very tough on grading papers as well as quizzes. If you see him more often and put so much effort in, you'll succeed.

Mr. Olmsted is awesome. He is a psychologically complex professor who places much emphasis on the idiosyncratic writing process of each student. This is can be challenging in a good and bad way. He encourages students to find their inner voice, yet expects them to satisfy his own perceptions. Overall he is an amazing teacher with so much to offer.

I thouroughly enjoyed Mr. Olmstead and his class. He has a great sense of humor and seems to really like working with students. My writing definately got better under his guidance and he taught me (a city-person) a lot about spending time outdoors that still keeps me thinking all of these years later. I would reccommend him to anyone.

I had Mr. Olmstead back in 1992/93 for a writing class. Ned was a very challeging professor (needed to write 2 two page papers for our first assignment), but he got the best out of me and the class. He helped my writing tremendously before I went to my 4 year college.

I loved this class! He made me not bs and would call me on it if i was. He held me to an extreamly harc level...but was there to help me achive that! I think i saw him like 2 aweek extra just for help! THis guy rocks
