This professor is not as bad as people make her out to be. Those who do poorly are usually students who are on their laptops and do not pay attention to a single lecture. No wonder why they do poor on exams. By no means is this an easy A but if you put in the work and study you will be fine. I recommend reading the textbook before classes.

I have never had issues with any profs at MSU except for her. I actually paid attention in class instead of being on my laptop and still did not understand anything. Compared to other Finance profs at MSU, she is horrible. My GPA was a 3.8, but it dropped because of this professor. She is the only professor who teaches this class (which is awful).

She is a very hard professor. When doing group presentations. Get ready to answer a lot of questions from her. It will take on entire class for one presantation... Make sure to read a lot. Its the only way you will understand her lecture. Exams are open ended question. Class average on exams is a 50. curves heavy!!

If you want a class to get a good grade without learning the material, you have chosen the wrong professor. The finance dept. has to do better to preserve the reputation of the university by getting rid of students who don't deserve to be there. I found half of my class did not know basic algebra and can't read /comprehend. MSU do better...

Not the best at teaching and explaining material. Take good notes cuz exams come from lecture. 3 exams, One was all MC, last two were 5 open ended question (shockingly slight easy). 2 group projects. HW given for each chapter finished, but not collected just reviewed in class. She has a mean/rude demeanor and rarely gives positive feedback.

Professor Useman is not as bad as people make her out to seem. If you read the chapter before class and pay attention it is not hard. I got a B on all her exams. She takes her time teaching and I learned a lot in her class. You can not be on your laptop the whole time in class (which most people are) and expect to do well.

Hasnt been in the workforce for over 20 years. Couldn't cut it in the real world per se. Another finance teacher that gets no respect at this university. Teaches you nothing applicable. Monotone out of touch lectures.

I really disliked this class. Not only did she have a super monotone voice but she was bad at explaining the materia My point is proven with the test averages being F's. Luckily the grades are all curved because of this. Sadly, most finance majors will have to take her so your best bet is to rely on the book. Good luck and thank god for the curve.

She cant teach. Extremely heavy accent. Probably couldn't pass her own test. No understanding of her own material. Gives group projects and grades harshly. It is a shame that she is the only professor for this class. She has no idea what she is doing.

Montclair should be ashamed of themselves and embarrassed that they allow a professor like her to teach here. When 3 people in your class get between a 70 and 80 and everyone else fails and you have to rely on the curve its embarrassing for the school. I would say stay away but I feel your pain, she's the university only option. JOKE!

She is actually a horrible human being in the classroom at least. She purposely embarrasses students in the classroom and laughs when people dont understand. She is incredibly comfortable with the class average of her exams being below passing. She does not engage the classroom and is just not nice.

As a student who does well academically, here are the stats of 1 of 3 of her exams. 3 students received a 78-80 and the other 35 a 68 or below. She embarrasses students during presentations and will talk over you any chance she receives. She has dedicated the last 20 years of her teaching career to memorize a textbook which qualifies her to teach

In combination of the accent, difficult material, scattered abbreviations but seemingly outstanding knowledge of exchange rates, this class is a tough one. I would not recommend her but I would definitely recommend burying your face in the textbook rather than trying too hard to understand what she is lecturing and lecturing and lecturing about.

Tests are extremely tough. Show up to class and take good notes, read the book, and do the homework. Multiple choice and word problem calculations. I went to office hours and tutoring in order to pass the class. She doesn't curve. Try to look at all quizlet questions online for review question that could be similar to multiple choice questions.

This professor is painfully boring. she's great at putting you to sleep no matter how hard you fight it. Read the book THOROUGHLY before the exam and you won't be surprised by a multiple choice exam which is not that bad. You can afford to miss plenty of classes and still be fine.

I would have never taken this class if I would have known how horrible it was going to be. She is very hard to understand and she doesn't care to help. I once met her after class to ask her what I could do to understand the class better and she told me I could read the entire book and it won't make a difference. Avoid her if you can.

Do not take this professor. Class average is a C after a heavy curve. Cannot teach. This School of Business needs to get rid of some professors if it wants to ever be taken serious.

I would recommend you to take someone else, this class is vey boring. She is not too clear when teaching but is willing to help if you have questions. Lots of homework, 8 cases, 1 presentation and 3 difficult exams. Definitely not an easy A.
