He is very old school and it is very hard to take notes in class because he just goes over examples. If you do not read the text book word for word you will not pass his class. He's sometimes inappropriate but his examples are interesting. I ended up dropping his class because I was failing( first class ever gotten a D in and I'm a 3.5 GPA student)

Correa is a great teacher if you are interested in psychology. Tests are very hard, and he has been teaching for 30+ years. There is a study group that is super helpful though! I suggest not taking lots of other classes, because the course load is very heavy.

Class seem to drag on. His examples make the class somewhat interesting, but can also be extremely inappropriate. He is very old school in his teaching practices and holds students to very high standards. He is very strict when it comes to attendance, participation, cell phones, and being on time. His grading is also very tough, not an easy A.

Probably one of the worst classes I've taken. His lectures are so long and you can barely hear anything he says. Still uses an overhead machine (the last time I saw one was elementary school..) and goes through slides VERY quickly. Tests are tough and there are quizzes almost every week on the assigned chapters. No cell phones, no food, no talking.

Professor Correa was a very easy A if you study. I took AP psych in highschool and barely had to study for his class. He's very strict about not allowing technology in class and will take off 20 points if he catches you using any electronics. But, other than that he's a great teacher and makes the class interesting. A very easy A!

Absolutely boring. If you do not read the textbook you will fail. He does a class participation grade, each student will rate you on how they think you did so you best speak up. Almost everything he talks about in class is irrelevant and he is a super quiet speaker and will not speak up. You must be dedicated to take his class.

Do yourself a favor and don't take this teacher. Gives you a stupid mock client assignment, his study guides are unorganized, and he's really critical when it comes to grading, he hardly ever has anything positive to say. He's also creepy and rude. He wasn't all that great of a teacher, take someone else for psych.

HORRIBLE TEACHER. Uses overhead which some people cannot see clearly. And has the slides up for a minute at that. Rushed to write down notes. Boring lectures. Starts class early knowing some people have to walk from Joppa to Fallston UPSTAIRS. Very rude and unhelpful. Drags on lecture and doesn't cover much material. DO NOT take him for PSY.

If you are a first year college students, or are just taking this class to get the requirement, I would recommend taking it with someone else. His tests are hard and he is VERY boring, especially in the morning. If you are a psych major and are interested in the subject, he would be a very good teacher for you!

I took Correa in 2011 and he completely deflated my interest in psychology; he's extremely disorganized, very erratic, and he simply does not know how to effectively teach the subject. Tests were difficult and I barely scraped a C in the class. The class in its entirety was a disappointment.

HORRIBLE! He uses an overhead projector, VHS, uses the term etc. excessively, and the packets he puts together are so unorganized and pointless. First test was easy got an A, and it was all downhill from there. Reading quizzes every other class on things that I'm pretty sure aren't even in the book. SPARE YOURSELF AND DON'T TAKE THIS GUY.

As someone also said, he knows his material very well. Not the guy for anyone that wants to "grab an A or fill an elective", or come straight from work-- you will loose points if you get caught in traffic. Old-school in his teaching, but you will learn a lot. He is fair, and earns his check hands down. Use good study habits and you will be fine.

Attendance is mandatory. Do not use cell phone. Overall very helpful- if you come to him for help he will help you. Let me take my final a day later than everyone else to have more study time & so i didn't have too many finals on same day! Uses outdated material but works. Slides are quick but everything is in textbook & study guide! HARD tests.
