I am not good at english, and I received low scores on my essays(F's,C's). I was able to save my grade by studying for the quizes that were about the short stories we read as homework. She becomes more chill as a person as more people drop the class and if you actively want to answer or discuss anything. I passed with a B.

Comment:

For a class filled with starters she made it extremely difficult. However you give what you get, work hard and you'll pass her class. My writing did improve and her class will help you get through the upcoming harder ENGL classes. Taker her class if you like a challenge.

Mrs. G is awesome! Her lectures are super interesting and make you see things from another perspective. I can say that she really taught me how to write, my essays became gradually better throughout the year. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS IF YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO PUT IN THE WORK

If you're not willing to work for it, do not take this class. I have never worked harder for a grade . She is cool & funny during her lectures but make sure to take notes, the final is based on how well you paid attention. Read & write essays, this is expected in Engl100. If you survive, you come out a better writer. Enter her class, if you dare.

Professor Gressier is one of the best English teachers I have had. She has helped me improve on my essays tremendously. Tough grader, but as long as you follow her syllabus, you'll be good to go. Do NOT fall behind.

She's funny during class when explaining the essays we read and when she assigns essays. She's a really tough grader and assigns a lot of homework. I liked her as a person but not as a professor. She's okay at teaching but you gotta be focused or else you'll fall

Hardest teacher ever! She doesn't want to give anyone an A and she is very hard on you when grading your essay. More than half the class dropped. She gives you essay prompt but then at the end when she gives out low grades she actually says what she wanted. She asked for an essay with your opinion in it and then called it wrong, it's an opinion!

She is a very relaxed teacher and doesn't really give out homework. Her essays are interesting and I like that they don't have to be "poetic." I think she grades her essays fairly, at first they will be graded lightly but then on she expects you to learn from your mistakes which is reasonable. Overall she is a really nice teacher.

She's very disorganized. It took her almost a month to grade an essay I fixed over night. She demands too much and loses things as well. She didn't even add up all the scores on Blackboard and gave me a C. My advice, take another professor for writing.

She is a tough grader, period. The last part of class was intense, back to back 5 pages each due every week. Read the american essays, and take notes. pointless with adios and the little book of helping. She is very witty and will snob to anyone who doesn't show up to classes. MAKE SURE YOU PRINT YOUR ESSAYS, don't email.

Absolutely loved her. I don't understand why she has bad reviews on here. Her course load is quite heavy so you need to stay on top of things. She is a very fair grader. Excellent english professor!

I'm an international student with lots of ESL grammar issues and wordy writing flaws, but she gave the final letter grade based more on my strong points like proper logical flow, and improvement of writing style,but not grammar flaws.Getting A is not hard in her class because she trained us strictly,yet gave grade loosely, and curved it herself.

She is a great teacher she gets one to think critically. no she does not baby you like some other useless teachers however she pushes you to go above and beyond. Easy and light workload. Very important life lessons you can acquire from taking English with Gressier.

There is homework due every week and six essays a research paper and a final. The work load is easy and shes not a hard grader. Her classes are extremely boring and she is awful at giving you your work back so that you can improve your grade. She is awful at keeping up with the assignments and staying on track. Not bad just frustrating.

ATTENTION!!!!!! I usually do not rate professors but this time I have to. Pamela is the worst teacher I have encountered with. If your favorite subject is English I advise you not to take her class!! She is a tough grader that is NOT open minded and is plain BORING! I wish someone could have warned me about this professor before I took her class!!!
