Comment:

She's an angel. will help you when you need it. Accounting isn't easy for some so if you're going into the class not knowing much you will have to teach yourself a little. Her teaching method isn't the best but at least she's nice. Tests are easy because the concepts are from quizzes but the final.... She's great and I'm taking her again for 204

Comment:

She's a very nice person and definitely knows what she is talking about. However, this doesn't necessarily mean she can clearly convey information to students in class. Students are often more confused after asking a question, and she isn't afraid to threaten a random quiz when everyone is still trying to figure out what's happening.

Comment:

This teacher needs to go back to elementary school to learn how to spell. Good luck reading anything that she writes on the board. I learned almost nothing in class and spend all of my time reading the book for this class. The most incompetent teacher I have had this year.

Very smart, but too smart to teach this class. Not very helpful in explaining subject matter to students who have never taken an accounting class before, like myself.

Comment:

Rouse was the easiest AC professor so far. If you know what to expect on her exams you will do fine. They are all straight forward, just have to pretend to be interested during class. Online homework is a few times a week but only takes 10-15 mins. I would recommend for 204 over others. Took Tindall for 203

Not the worst accounting professor but by far not the best. Professor Rouse rushes through the material through class, writes on the board illegibly, and lectures at an extremely low volume. Online homework is lengthy in order to get 100% (must check your work multiple times) however she is fair when it comes to tests. Still below par professor.

Comment:

Dr. Rouse expects a lot from her students, but you genuinely learn a lot when you take her. She offers a lot of opportunities for bonus points to pad your grade (participation, attendance, homework, bonus points). Her tests are hard, but if you study (helpful to have past exams of hers), you'll do fine.

Professor Rouse is a good professor that is very fair in her grading. She accepts a generous amount of partial credit and allows you to drop your worst quiz. There are worse professors than Rouse for Accounting.

Comment:

Professor Rouse is a great professor that has a vested interest in her students. She offers in-class examples and the quizzes adequately prepare you for her tests. Professor Rouse made the student's responsible for their learning and resulting grade, which is how college level classes should be.

She isn't so bad. She is flexible if you have trouble at the beginning of the course (meaning if you get i.e. a 75% on the first test, but then progressively raise in the following two... she will have more leniency in your grade. Although she is not always helpful, with effort and proven interest-- she will help you.

I really don't think she knows the material she teaches. Confuses students more than she helps and is more worried about taking points off of tests than worrying about if students actually learn the material. Not to mention the ridiculously long online homework manager assignments. Avoid at all costs.

Professor Rouse is a horrible teacher. If you like 4 hour online homework assignments, and projects that are meant for practicing accountants, this is the class for you. You have a better chance with receiving help from a second grader than from her. Her tests are extremely long and make you want to walk into oncoming traffic.

I loved her for FBE but for Accounting she's impossible. She expects you to get it without any guidance or help. She would give the homework without teaching it and the test were WAY TOO LONG!!

you have to stay on top of the material and she does a lot of examples in class---tests are pretty simple as long as she thinks everyone is trying and keeping up with the work. a very nice and helpful professor.

I really enjoyed this class. Rouse is a great professor. She is always available to answer questions whether it's in person or by email. She's also very generous. If your class is good, she'll make class a little easier for everyone.

I took her in the summer and she was really easy and helpful. She gives you all the information you need to succeed in her class.
