Comment:

I have taken 3 classes with him and he is one of my favorites. He is very knowledgeable about all the material taught. You MUST listen to his lectures if you take his online classes and take good notes or else you will fail. The tests make you think about the material. His class is easy if you do the work for it and prepare for tests ahead of time.

I am taking his criminal law class online he is the hardest professor I have had. He says to ask him questions before hand and don't come to him at the end of the semester saying you were confused. His tests are extremely hard and impossible. He does have experience, I feel he uses that against you making the course unbearable and not enjoyable.

Comment:

Professor Mastriacovo's experience in the field of law make him extremely knowledgeable about everything he teaches in the class. The only grades are from three exams which are pretty difficult, but he did end up putting them all online which was nice. I learned so much from Professor Mastriacovo and would probably take him again.

Professor Mastriacovo is the best professor I've ever had. Super knowledgeable in criminal justice and law. He's not only a great professor but also a great dude. Cares about his students and their education. I have already taken 3 classes with him! Makes you work for your grade but it is so worth it to have him.

I LOVE Professor M. He has a ton of experience as an assistant prosecutor along with mediation and tons of other things. He is very knowledgable and makes signing on to do your work enjoyable. Not too hard, but you have to work for your own grade. Listen to his lectures, that is how you will get a good grade. I would take him for everything!

Took his online criminal law class - lectures are convienently recorded along with PowerPoint and he even made me laugh. Seems like a nice and funny guy. Class is only 7 weeks but he made lectures very manageable. Tests are not too difficult.

I took two online Justice studies classes with him and I love them. The material is in a Powerpoint that if you pay attention to an take notes off, you will do fine! His lectures are interesting and he is very good at his job. A prof that you like to learn from. For online, I never bought the textbook and never needed it.

Professor M. Is very helpful. His class is difficult because you HAVE to study and you HAVE to read the course material in order to be successful. I was struggling with his exams and he sat down with me personally and gave me tips to succeed in his course. I was very impressed that he went out of his way to do that for me.

If you have any interest in going to law school, take him. His approach is GREAT! The things i learned in his class are helping me get through law school today.He's a fun guy with SO much experience and he isn't afraid to be himself. Do your best work and you'll get an A. Tests are straightforward and he's fair. Participate!!

Had him way back in 1989-1994. Great class - lots of experience in the real world that he brings to the classroom. One time I asked him a question and he explained it thoroughly,but then brought in a guest speaker to elaborate. The class was a lot of work but definitely worth it.

Great Professor. I would put him at the top of the best at Kent State. Extremely knowledgeable. He makes you think. His tests are very challenging. Even though I got a C I still enjoyed his class tremendously.

I am in my fourth class with Mastriacovo. He is my all time favorite teacher at KSU. If you have trouble making it to class I would not suggest him because attendance is mandatory, however you learn a lot from him. Class participation also a major part of your grade, i.e. the notes cards he uses to call on you in class to answer questions.

Nice guy knows his stuff,his exmas are impossible. Have to know the book in and out for exams becuase he lectures from the slides but puts questions on the test from the book. No review guide except a two minute whats going to be and wont go over it if missed anything. Randomly calls on you via notecards and have to brief cases.
