Lectures are pretty entertaining. His slides aren't posted and everything on the exams are based off of them. So just go. Plus he gives you easy clicker questions every class that are basically extra credit. Textbooks make studying easier, but not 100% necessary. 3 papers each due same day as exams but the prompts are posted from Day 1. ezpz

I had to retake History 100 because I didnt really care the first time, but boy did I pick the right professor. Hes entertainingly funny and engaging in his lectures. Make sure you come to class because he does iclicker polls which can either really help or destroy your grade. None of his PowerPoint are attainable online. Quizzes are easy.

Dr. Werth makes having to sit through a 75 minute lecture way more bearable than it should be. I enjoyed showing up everyday because he always got us to laugh and think about things differently, and history is usually pretty boring, so anything that will make it more lively is good!

Dr. Werth is a brilliant professor who is passionate about his work and his students. He does everything he can to ensure understanding of the content and takes feedback from his students very seriously. This class also had TAs that were so helpful along the way. I am enrolled in his Russian History class for next semester.

Dr. Werth is definitely one of my favorite professors at UNLV. His lectures are filled with humor which make them fun. His class is one of those classes that are not boring at all. He is easy to get a hold of and responds to emails right away.

Werth is a fantastic teacher. His lectures are fantastic, peppered with humor and lightheartedness. He has tons of office hours and is always contactable by email, carrier pigeon, smoke signals, etc. The hardest part of his class are the midterm essays, but do the reading and you'll be fine. Repetition is the mother of all learning!

Best professor I have ever had!! He is so knowledgeable, funny and genuinely cares about his students. In a class of hundreds of people, he still tries to learn people's names. He inspires me.

Dr. Werth is an amazing professor, his class was not easy but it is not impossible. He does not post any of his lectures but you can always ask for the notes. Be ready to read and study for content and map quizzes every other week! He is very punctual on everything and the TA's do help you study for test so you won't go in there blind. Take him!

Really cool guy, cares about everyone. Honestly didn't read the textbook when it was assigned except for when I wrote the essays. All quizzes and tests are straight off his powerpoints, just show up, pay attention and you're good.

This class is fantastic. I went in hating history looking for a credit, and now I'm looking to take more courses under him for Russian history. He's super engaging, and makes the material super interesting. The textbook is cheap, and the reading is mandatory, but if you study the Clicker questions and put in effort in class, you'll get an easy A.

Dr. Werth is a fantastic professor. His lectures are entertaining, and he goes out of his way to make them fun. Attendance isn't mandatory, but it's strongly recommended, because you will learn way more in class than reading the textbook. The textbook is your base for essays, it's definitely mandatory. The class is easy, if you just do the work.

Honestly one of the best lecturers I've had period. If you don't pay attention, read the textbook (which is CHEAP), or put in the work, you won't pass. He makes the lectures VERY interesting and engaging, and if you pay attention and are involved, it's pretty easy. The quizzes are on actual class content, and if you know what's going on its easy.

Dr. Werth is certainly a character (in a good way.) His lectures are about 200+ kids but they are very interactive with the iClickers and keep you zoned in. As long as you listen to the class and pay attention it should be a breeze getting an A.

I took this class for my US History/Nevada Constitution credit. Though Dr. Werth may be a cool guy but his class was real tough. Tough enough for me to have to drop the course. If you do plan to take his class be prepared read, study for quizzes, and tests that have tons of material with an essay you need to read the textbook in order to do.

For a 100 level class, this class was heavy on material. He goes over US, USSR, and Iran's history and let me tell you IT'S A LOT. Make sure you read. There are weekly quizzes on content or map quizzes. The exam grades are based off of an essay and multiple choice portion. Essays were hard and he does not give out any study guides which sucks.

Professor Werth tries his best to make this boring class bearable. He's such a great guy. There is way too much material to understand. His TA's are annoying though. Quizzes quite frequently and the exam essays are difficult. But i would take him as a professor over anybody.
