Comment:
Jessop is a great and fair prof who takes the time to explain concepts and doesn't rush his lectures. I would highly recommend going to office hours because a lot of the material is pretty new. His exams are almost identical from previous years, the only difference would be the specific molecule he would ask about. Course content is gross though.

I learned more from Jessop than any other prof. His fun chemistry facts were so interesting to me that I shared them with everyone I know! He truly is caring and is so helpful during office hours. His exams are straight forward and he explains concepts in a clear way. There are no surprises on his exams and he wants his students to succeed.

I LOVE THIS MAN. Like seriously. I think I wish he was my grandpa. Perhaps best teacher I've had at Queen's. The lesson on vibrational modes (the arm dancing thing in particular) is a real gem. Go to class though.

He was on the forum at past midnight to answer student questions when he was on vacation! If that's not dedication I don't know what is... go to class, he tells really nice stories! Exams were very straightforward. Study regularly and you will do super well!!

Chem was my favourite course in first year, and this was by far my least favourite course of second year. You should go to class, his online lecture slides have minimal info, but I found his lectures dry and dull, even though the concepts themselves were interesting. Gives minimal and very basic practice problems, but our exam was very challenging

Absolutely FANTASTIC! His lectures are very clear if you're willing to learn. Very nice, helpful, and his exams are perfectly fair. He is not boring at all, the people that say he is clearly don't have an interest in chemistry. My favourite university prof so far. Cheers!
