DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. Raquel is one of the worst teachers I have ever had. Yes, she is a nice person and makes class enjoyable but she teaches you nothing! Her tests are super hard and she gives you no preparation. Received A in all other Spanish, getting now a C. She's way too hard of a grader!!! major warning!

Nice teacher , but way too much work. Even during the very end of the semester when we had presentations , she have us tons of homework. She thinks her class is the only one your taking, and heaven forbit your not a computer person !

Actually, shes an awesome teacher. She gives us more time than we need to complete our assignments and always lets us use books, dictionary's and other sources on tests. I thought taking Conversational Spanish would help my language abilities, but in the class we mostly spoke in English and she never corrected anyone when they made errors. She never taught any actual material and she would give pop-exams. She is really weird and moody, and also tends to pick on certain students and single them out. She sucks.

Finally a Spanish class were i felt chalenged !!! I learned SO MUCH with the essays. If you want to learn how to think, and you want to work hard, take the class. If you want to be spoon-fed , do NOT TAKE IT. i LOVED THE CLASS. aND BELIEVE ME i AM NO TEACHER'S PET.

I learned very little. She hardly taught anything on the board, but then all of a sudden there was a test. Here's an example of one day of class: Shakira music for the whole time, not that i don't like Shakira, but man, that just doesn't cut it for the price of college. Oh, if you're a teacher's pet, you will do just fine in the class.

if you go to class and do your work she will like you. it's a conversation class, you have to show up to pass! she has always been very helpful and fair. you get more from the class discussions if you put in more effort. if you understand her sense of humor you won't find her disrespectful at all.
