He is by far the best professor at ramapo. He is willing to help you if you don't understand the topic. Very friendly and funny. For test they are very fair if you put the effort into the homework and read the chapter.

He's honestly the best. His exams are very fair if you do the homework and read the chapters. Your grade isn't handed to you but he is so willing to help in any way.

He is a great professor. He is willing to help you and very nice with everyone. I took intermediate 1 and 2 with professor Rigoli and got and A. Test are hard and you need to do your homework if you want to pass.

Nice guy, funny stories, but basically had to teach myself the entire semester. He barely does any examples and spends more time talking about his life than accounting. I would go to do the hw and almost none of it had anything to do with what he talked about in class. Take him if you want to be entertained and could care less about learning.

If you're looking for a low workload and a mediocre grade this is the prof for you! Tells more stories than teaches, HW isn't graded, "collects" it but you never get it back, and no assignments. He'll do about 1 chicken-scratch example for each problem and then good luck. If you want to actually learn and get an A, steer clear, this isn't for you.

hes a really good guy who knows his stuff. he will go out of his way to help you, but he moves quickly many times. he assigns homework and then teaches the information afterward. this means doing homework is essential to doing well. tests are very hard. i recommend him if you are willing to put in independent study time. he wont spoonfeed.

Took Mr. Rigoli for several classes. He keeps class very interesting with his stories, which is certainly nice in accounting. Sadly I often walked away from his classes remembering much more about his stories than the actual accounting lesson. As a benchmark, I definitely learned much more from my other professors at Ramapo. Your mileage may vary.

Ya accounting isn't easy. He could work at a multi-nationals corp and be the best, but in a class room he cannot not teach. He uses the book for homework, but does it differently in class. He has his own way of teaching and no one understands it. Good LUCK, by the time you finish his class you wont understand the basic concept of accounting.

He is a great guy outside of the classroom but does not teach the material properly. He goes on to give homework without actually teaching it, then teaches it once you already finish, which means you pretty much teach yourself. The tests are too long to be finished in the time frame given. His stories and jokes are very entertaining.

I agree with previous poster: he has his own method for teaching. If you don't understand it, good luck. Because the book is totally different. BEST WAY to study: go over the homework problems as many times as you can. He is a great person outside the classroom but not that good of a teacher. Would not take again.

He is a great Accountant for the corporate world. Not at class room setting. Has his own way of teaching totally different than how the book teaches you. So be preprepared teach your self. The 1st test class average was somewhere in the 40's. Hard grader and he deff has his favorites in class. I would not recommend it to anyone, but its your choice

He was the best accounting teacher I have ever had. I wish he taught all of the accounting classes. He makes a very dry boring subject as interesting as he can and will go WAY out of his way to help you if you ask.

Great professor. He is great at teaching, and had the first 9:45 class that I was able to force myself to go to. I'm taking him for 2 other classes next semester. He keeps things interesting and he tries to make hard concepts as easy as possible.

One of the best professors at Ramapo. He is a must if you are an accounting student. If you understand that accounting is hard, not the professor, you will love his classes. Brings life to class and will prepare you properly for the future.

Hard material made impossible by the teacher. Writes chicken scratches on board and expects us to read it. Wastes half of class time on stupid personal stories that don't help with the material and sometimes keeps you late because of it. Homework is impossible. Since he collects but doesn't grade HW, why not just give us the answers beforehand?

He is a great guy despite what people say but his class is hard. Its difficult to do the homework because he does not teach the material well prior to assigning it. This creates a problem considering the tests are based off of the homework. Also the tests have harder and more complicated problems on them than he assigns. Prepare to fail!

Ray is the best professor at Ramapo!!! I took him for 3 classes and he was also my faculty advisor for my internship, he is truly amazing!!! He really cares about his students and makes it fun and easy to learn. Accounting is a very difficult subject as it is, but he makes the best of it. I dont see how someone can say something negative about him.

Ray is a really nice, funny guy. He can relate anything in life to Accounting and that makes things really easy to understand. He is a pretty hard grader but it's accounting, it's hard stuff. I've takin him for 3 classes so far and I'm taking him again next semester. I think he's a great professor and I highly recomend him.
