Dr. Mielke knows the material and is quite helpful. If you are part of the M&SE undergrad program, you should get to know him. Unfortunately his tests are unbelievably hard, but that depends on how well you listen in class and if you come for help. He is actually approachable, and when you come for help in person, he explains everything clearly.

Great professor. His lectures are actually worth while and you'll learn a lot if you come. Pay attention during lecture, do the homework and you should be good. He's always willing to help you if you have any questions. His tests are kind of hard though.

Great teacher, very clear and thourough. Attend lectures and do his work and you will learn. If you don't, he will help. His exams are very close to the material he teaches, without being obvious. One of my favorite professors ever.

The best professor in the department, hands down. Years after I graduated with my BSEE, I'm at a better school for my MSEE, and I have more confidence in the material Mielke taught than anything else. Demanding, competent professor.
