Comment:

This is a class you will have to work hard in to memorize the material, but it is totally doable. I like that she didn't rush through lectures and took her time to explain everything. The midterm and final are worth 40% of your grade each, but if you attend lectures, take notes, read the book, and study, you will get an A.

Comment:

Worst teacher I have ever had. She speaks very slow, monotone and contradicts herself a lot. At times she have given wrong info. Her slides are copied word for word from wikipedia and she will leave out a word or two, so notes are fill in the blank. I do not know how she got a job teaching at a UC. This class is stupid, you learn nothing.

Comment:

I've now taken 2 classes with Kraft and after both I was bitterly disappointed. She seems to think she knows what she's talking about, but she often contradicts herself. There is an unnecessary amount of useless information and her exams (midterm & final; 40% each) are confusing. Didn't curve the final even though class average was a 65%. Avoid.

Comment:

Not the best professor, she reads directly off her lecture slides. She contradicts herself at times and the text book. She gives study guides for tests, which helps but she leaves some info off "to seperate the Bs from the As." On the paper just follow the rubric and you'll do okay. Don't be fooled, if you've taken psc140, this class will be hard.

Lectures are mandatory unless you have a friend b/c she leaves a lot of info out of the slides. The class overall had A LOT of information to memorize! Midterm and final were not easy even though I attended every lecture and read the textbook. The multiple choice questions were tricky and confusing. However, the paper is a grade booster.

She's certainly better than the alternative for this class (Harper), so if you have to take this class take it with her. However, she's not super easy and is very monotone/dry (BORING). Also attending class is important (or have a friend in it).

Definitely not an easy class. She pretty much either reads straight off of her notes or tells cute but mostly pointless stories about her grandchildren. There's tons of info - way more than I usually have for a PSC/HDE class, so start studying early and READ THE BOOK. The paper is easily graded and is definitely a grade booster.

lectures are a bit unorganized & she shows a lot of videos. speaks too fast to take complete notes (unless you print slides ahead of time). she is sweet, but a boring lecturer - read the text & use study guides for tests and you'll be fine. not a very engaging class, but not extremely hard if you study. EASY paper (follow the rubric!)

Lectures are mandatory due to leaving things off of slides. Midterm and exam are brutally unfair, worded very poorly, and ten times more difficult than my usual psych exam. She moves far too fast in lecture to take notes. Paper was brutal and graded solely on a point for point rubric given a day before the paper was due. Avoid at all costs.

My view of this professor is probably skewed by having had her at 7:30AM in the summer. I have never dozed off in a class until hers. Overall, she is a sweet teacher. Too many videos (in 100A & 141). Pretty easy though compared to what I have heard Harper is like!

Be prepared to unlearn anything you learn about the brain in this class. She has no idea what she's talking about. She's the kind of lady who says what ever falls out of her mouth AND believes it. Easy class, but completely useless. Not research oriented, no critical thinking, no real science. Her class is also based on a self help book...

I have had Professor Kraft for HDE 100A, 132 and 141! I LOVE HER! She reminds me of my grandma. Very sweet and kind lady. She is a fair grader and gives extra credit. Good to go to class because she leaves blanks on lecture slides and her stories are entertaining.

This was a mostly easy class. She posts ppt slides with blanks that you'll have to fill in. Test questions (MC, short ans defs, and long essays) are from lecs, but some questions could be from random side-stories from text. Paper was easy. She's a nice and funny person! Take this class!

Kinda boring but over all an easy class. Observation project/paper easy A and test are easy just really know the study guide. Need to go to class to get notes and powerpoint but overall not too bad, just boring!

The professor does leave blank on the slides to encourage students to attend class; therefore, make friends with someone in class if you miss lecture. Exams were not too hard, but read the book and go over lecture and you will be okay. Profile project was EASY so do it soon, do not wait until the last minute because it takes a long time to cram!

Awful teacher! I have never disliked a teacher so much. All she does is read off her powerpoint. You have to attend class because she leaves out critical information when she puts up her slides. She is also a very harsh grader. Very boring, please don't make the same miskate I did. AVOID ROSEMARIE KRAFT

Such a boring lecturer! She posts her notes before class but they are fill in the blank so you miss important information if you space out just for a minute. I did her study guide and still only got a C on the test. Her lectures are just fact after fact thrown out at you and you are expected to remember them.

This class was a breeze. The grade is based on a context paper, class attendance, and a poster presentation, and your supervisor?s evaluation. Not bad at all, kind of slow and boring at times. She showed documentaries/videos mostly and had a small discussion afterwards. Sometimes we got out early. Recommend for HDE 141(Internship course)
