Comment:
I took Tenenbaum's genocide studies class. She really cares about the material she reads and knows it like the back of her hand. That being said, she provides more readings than any other prof I have ever had at first it's really hard to tell which ones are okay to skim and which you have to know but she often will explain in class, tough grader

Prof. Tenenbaum was one of the best professors I've ever had. Her lectures were amazing and really made me think and change my outlook on things. The readings were long but incredibly interesting. I highly recommend taking any class with her, you won't regret it!

She allows her personal opinions of you as a filter through which she grades you. If she or her TA don't like you, they pretty much have decided what you will get. I worked harder than almost any class and I got a B- and I am normally an A student.

She is a very nice person. Helped me a lot this semester. However, didn't really like how the course was structured. If you like writing papers and no exams or final, here's your course. Quite a bit of reading, but you can get away with not reading most of them. I did. But then again, I have a B- so... She's helpful and quite understanding.

Excellent professor. Her sociology of genocide class was extremely interesting and eye-opening. She is very helpful in and out of class. Her lectures are understandable and clear. You will learn a lot and even though there are a lot of readings the class isn't that difficult.

Best professor I've ever had. For Race and American Society, the readings were very engaging and exams were open-notebook. Extremely eye-opening class.

Professor Tenenbaum assigns a lot of reading but it generally interesting and pertinent. Grading is mainly based on essay assignments so spend some time on them. All in all I found class interesting and her very helpful outside of class. You can tell she really cares about the subject. (I also took Genocide with her and the same is true.)

incredibly biased towards her own opinions. the class focused on sociological theory and its elements for about 2 weeks and then the rest of the year was on the "savage inequalities" imposed upon [insert appropriate minority group]. didnt acknowledge opposing viewpoints, and basically ignored any by repeating her own immediately. easy grader, tho.

I love Professor Tenenbaum. She eases the class into the writing process. A lot of reading, and writing, no exams. Sometimes ver bias in views, but other than that an amazing teacher and I would highly reccomend this class.

While she was very nice and well-informed on her subject, she was a bit too extreme in her opinions. Everything that happens in history is related to the Holocaust in some way, and any comments otherwise will be politely heard, and then completely dismissed. Overall though, pretty good proffessor.

Very bright woman, but at the same time a hardcore Zionist Lobyist. 9-11 must have woken her right up to the reality of the Global World. She's no "Funny Girl".

I loved professor tenenbaum. She usually assigns a lot of reading for her classes but I liked her class setup. Exams were in class open note exams. As long as you paid attention in class and did most of the reading, an A was not difficult. She's very nice and has a lot to offer

This class was taught for kids who will pretend to be humanist, there was not enough discussion about any group who wasn't rich and what does that matter to the world anyway, right? If you want to learn how rich people vaction, take this class.
