Prof. Rama is a real gem. Best class I have ever taken and would really recommend to anyone interested in ethnic conflicts and nationalism. he has massive knowledge about his subject and is very helpful and understanding.

Prof. Rama is super smart. That's not what I'm commenting on. Yet, his class is super boring. All he does is tell you stories for 2 hours. There is no significant learning. Read the news and then share them in class. That's it.

The class consists of Prof. Rama sharing stories and expanding on theory at length, but it does not teach you much. It is entertaining, but incomprehensible. If you read a good daily newspaper, this class won't add much beyond that.

Only a hostile Slav from the ex-Yugoslavian republics would publish such a comment. What Rama does, simply, is put IR into perspective, then allows students to make up their own conclusions. Rama's genius is unmatched at NYU, a class by himself worthy of int'l recgnition. He is the premier prof at NYU, regardless of his nationality/religion, etc.

Genius!! How the heck can he possibly know so much?! He'll say, "Well I'm not an expert on this but..." And proceed to tell you EVERYTHING! Truly a genius. His lectures were the best compliment to the reading. He is the best!!! This was the best introduction to Grad school anyone could have. Amazing professor!!!!

Rama's personable, he def. knows his stuff but @ times he went over the 2 hr class period (he talks a lot) by almost a half hr - he has 2 HOURS! It's like, good God, man, PLAN ACCORDINGLY!! But I DO absolutely love him, IR @ the grad level was mostly theory but he def throw in current events & reconcile the 2. Enjoyable experience, approachable guy

A mentor for all that had the honor of being a student of his.His knowledge of international relations is remarkable. I am an older returning student and he made me feel comfortable and welcome.As the department head of Graduate Politics he was approachable and helpful.Alot of reading but you can skim most as long as you get the meaning .

easily the nicest most personable friednly professor in the politics dept. class was very dull because rama just imparts information like a machine but he isnt too rough on his students and just asks that you pay attention and ask some questions. definitely a nice experience
