Honestly, people make this class worse out than it is. If you do the readings & take detailed notes, it's very easy to get an A. He takes his test questions from the textbook bank so as long as you read, you're good. People that claim this class is difficult simply didn't read the book the way they should have. Classes aren't really necessary.

His lectures are so boring. He literally reads the lecture slides and doesn't provide any insightful comments. Avoid if possible! The recording is horrible so the best way is to sit through his very monotonous lectures if you want a good grade.. However, the work required isn't so bad..

Worst class I've taken at McGill. Stotland seems bored, and is astoundingly unprepared for class. The material is dry, and his explanations are not helpful in the least. There is absolutely no guidance for the the assignments (30% of the grade). He tells the class things won't be on the exam, and then puts them on the exam. Avoid if possible.

8:30 to 11:30 Monday morning class. Like that's not bad enough, 10 minutes into the lecture he makes you feel like crawling back into bed. There are 2 Blog posts for a total of 10% which are easy. the midterm was a total nightmare and the test project instructions were so unclear I had to constantly email TAs and depend on other students for help

Stotland's class is the most boring, monotonous class ever!! His voice tone looses me within the first 5 mins of class. BUT its really not that hard of a class, 2 blog assignments, one midterm a final (non cumulative) and a project where you have to make your own test... Super boring and not very useful but put the effort in and you could get and A

This class is by far the most confusing class I have taken, there does not seem to be any organization, the lectures are long and boring, the midterm was ambiguous, only take the class if you have to otherwise avoid

Poor lecturing and communication, and lack of actual syllabus. Unknowingly contradicts the text. Blogging assignments were the only redeeming aspect of this course. Accidentally left the answers to NINE questions on midterm. Confusing wording on many questions. Ironic that the instructor for Psychological Tests can't properly write exams.

He is by far the worst psych teacher I have until now. He improvises his lectures, seems to not know the materials. So, don't go to the class, read the textbook, look at his useless power point and you should be fine. He is also really boring and sounds bored by his own lectures!

His lectures are so boring! Even though the exams are easy it was painful to sit through. He seems like an interesting guy, has a lot of knowledge, doesn't know how to share it that well.

I don't understand how the comments are so good, he really isn't that great. His lectures are useless, he mumbles and just reads what's on the slides and pretty much improvises every lecture. I just use the textbook instead. He also writes very odd exams. Didn't hate the class, but didn't particularly care for it either.
