Comment:

Your entire grade is determined by quizzes and exams, no homework. He doesn't make the exams easy and will not curve the grade, he has no problem failing you. You need to read the text book 20 times and make sure you understand the material. Seriously, this class you need to really carefully study for. This is the hardest class i've taken at NCC.

He's a really nice guy, and he does his best to make the class entertaining. There is no homework and attendence is optional (but he said he might change that soon because alot of people missed like half the semester). Your grade is completely determined by exams and quizes, and they are not super easy. Read the textbook really hard before exams.

Very nice and understanding professor, but his online class doesn't make sense at all and the final and midterm are extremely difficult. The textbook is super expensive. Not really any review of the tests.

Hes a good guy with a good heart. Super knowledgeable but all you do is read from the textbook on screen. He tells you that day 1. Goes off topic way too often. Tests/quizzes are ridiculous because hes not specific as to what to study for. When hes says study chapter 1,2,3, you literally have to go through every single word of those chapters..

Read the book, then read it again, add reading it a third time. Major emphasis on assessments..80% of grades on test 20% on quizzes. ($80 online labs don't count towards grade)Really funny dude but can talk you to death about b.s. that has nothing to do with course.

Incredible teacher to have. Very funny man and very passionate about the topics at hand. Not a lot of tests but they will destroy you and your grade should you not study. Don't expect open notebook tests or quizzes either. However, he is always willing to lend a helping hand for anyone needing it. All in all, great teacher and great course.

He is an extremely funny and outgoing teacher. Goes off topic a lot but it's worth hearing his stories. He expects you to study the textbook to pass his quizzes and his midterms, which is a pain, but if you pay attention to his lectures and take notes on what NOT to study, it shouldn't be difficult at all.

Professor Kaplan is a wonderful gentleman. He normally teaches computer classes, but I had him for MAT 002. He is helpful and tries to help students who struggle. He does get a little sidetracked and silly, but he is good man.

Hes very funny and likes to talk about technology in the present. Can make reading three pages from the textbook take three hours. Quizes are not multiple choice but the midterm and final are. Bottom line you have to study the book if you want to pass.

Prof. Kaplan is the most professional Professor in the whole Computer Department...If you fail his class your a moron..He explains anything you don't understand even on his own time..Read the book,ask questions and show up. Class was very fun to go to. He is a very funny guy, but went through material a little quickly. If you are very bad at math you may not want to take him because his jokes and stories can be distracting for people who really need to pay close attention.
