If you take this class, you will learn a lot but you will be tested on vague questions from sentences in the textbook. This professor does not offer a study guide for the midterm and the study guide he gives for the final is not so helpful. Avoid if you can. Otherwise proceed with caution.

Took this class online. He was somewhat lenient with late work, but don't take advantage. Tests were brutal. Essays were pretty easy. Talk to him/e-mail him if you need help or don't understand something. Very interesting course.

Took this class online and overall it was okay. This class had a lot of required work. We had a book reveiw due the first week of class, 2 reaction papers, another paper, 2 tests (online) and then weekly chapter questions from book due every week. If you don't like doing tons of work do not take his class. Overall okay class not the best.

Has a thorough understanding of the subject. Homework is only copying the key terms out of the book. Tests are all online. When you sign up for the class, it says it is MWF, but he only holds class on T TH. I really enjoyed professor Capron.

Capron expects a lot of knowledge and he scared me in the beginning thinking a cool class would fail me. But do the reading, write well, and show up to class. The homework and writings saved me when I didn't do so great on exams (all done online with a book in hand and still no A's). It's do-able, but I wouldn't take a class with him again.

as long as you do all the homework you'll do fine. The midterm and final are very hard but I failed both and I sent him an email at the end of the semester explaining why I deserve a higher grade and he gave me what I asked for. Plus his in class lectures crack me up!

Pretty easy class. A lot of terms every week and a lot of reading but very interesting class. Not required you show up every week but make sure you do the terms in order to be successful with the exams. One book review which is easy. Tests are pretty hard. Very easy going on when stuff is due. Highly recommend this professor

Would recommend taking CRJ 101 (Research Methods) with him. From what I had hard this was one of the hardest classes for CRJ major, but I was surprised at how easy it was. We had 2 quizzes, 1 midterm (that also counted as the final) and 1 group project. The quizzes and midterm/final were easy, but a large part of our grade!

He does the bare minimal as a professor! Lectures, slides, and learning modules are useful for the homework although the tests are Hard!! You wont find most of your answers because the test questions are hard to understand. I will never take a class with Capron again!!!!

i took a online class with him, every week we had to read one chapter and do the chapter check up, and we had a midterm and a final which are extremely hard, if you are a hard working student then only take his class. Not easy to even pass his class. not recommended.

One of the best CRJ teachers at Sac State! Assigns homework each week from one (sometimes two) chapters in the book. One mid-term, final, and powerpoint presentation that's super easy. He definitely knows his stuff and gives you real-life experiences and opinions. Not boring at all and you will learn a lot! Take at least one class with him!

People complain this class is hard, but if you do the work it is not. Terms per chapter due each week. 1 book review, 1 power point, and 2 exams. You choose your book, you choose your group (or not) for the PP, and the exams are straight out of the book. Some studying, and reading, you will be fine.

People complain this is a hard class. You define a chapters worth of terms once a week, have two tests, one power point presentation, and a book review. (Easier than a 7-10 pg paper) The terms are in the back of the book, and his lectures follow the book. It is the same amount of work a regular upper division class should have.

He was a very straight forward teacher. Not to exciting nor to bland. Just come to every class and keep up on the notes and you'll do fine. And whatever you do: don't close your eyes in class cuz he'll call you on it.

Hard class, you have to read the chapters before you come to class. You have to go on the net and read all these blogs about terror/terrorist and what they are up too. Tests are hard, he gives you an outline of question for the test but there are too many ?'s to memorize for the test. I would take another professor for this class.

I wasn't a big fan of him. I didn't really like how he taught and his tests were not good. The test had 10 questions on it but each were worth 10 points including the one multiple choice and one true/false. He makes you do a presentation and read an extra book. He wasnt my worst teacher ever though just not that interesting.

Yes the class is easy, but to much work. He wants you to look up current events everyday and some other bull sh*t. Dont have enough time to do any work from your other classes. Dont be fooled by these reviews most people told me that his terrorism class is the hardest, but the other classes he teaches are easy. I had a lot of NERDS in my class.

Capron surprised me, he may look deceiving but hes cool. He usually does PowerPoint presentations, shows cool footage related to terrorism and shows interesting videos in class. If you are looking to take a class and interested in terrorism this is the perfect instructor to take. Just do the reading and attend his class and an A will be easy 2 get
