Comment:

Dr. G is the best professor I have had at UTC. Mam is a hard class so be prepared to study A LOT for lecture exams and spend long hours in the lab outside of class. He gives extra credit opportunities if you go on more field trips, do more skins, or ID everything correctly. He is an amazing human being and I have the utmost respect for him.

Dr. Gaudin is a genius who knows his stuff. He gives super great lectures, which are sometimes boring, but his passion for what he teaches shines through. He is a tough grader but gives excellent feedback.

This professor does not teach ANYTHING. He literally sits the mink in front of you and expects you to teach yourself. He also fully expects you to know everything before you come in there and is rude when you don't know details of certain things. I would not take this professor again because the only things I learned were things I taught myself.

Mammalogy is a tough class, it's not an easy A but Dr. G makes the class very interesting and you get to know everybody through field trips. If you are squeamish don't take this class, we go out in the field, trap mammals, in lab you skin them and gut them, it can get pretty messy. Dr. Gaudin as a person is a wonderful guy! If you approach him to ask him a question it makes him happy. However, I think he strives to make his anatomy lab the hardest lab of all the teachers. Start off strong on the first practical because the other ones are not bad. STUDY FOR THE QUIZZES. Gaudin's are extremely difficult.

Dr. Gaudin is one of the best professors I've had. The class was quite difficult compared to other biology classes, Dr. Gaudin will make you work for your grade. That being said, it was certainly worth the effort. I've never learned more from a professor. He truly cares about the subject, and his students as well.

Comment:

First off, Gaudin is one of the best Biology professors at UTC. However, be warned that this class takes up an enormous amount of time. ex: 3 lecture tests, 3 practicals, a research paper, two quizzes, 5 field trips, and 3 mammal skins. He does hand out a study guide, which is invaluable. Be ready for late nights in the lab, and form a study group!

This is anatomy it's going to be hard so deal with it but Dr. Gaudin writes everything on the board! He gives out study guides which are quite helpful. This class is do-able to get a B especially since lab is 25%. I learned a lot from him and think highly of him as a professor. NOTE: anatomy is not for lazy people. so study

This class is tough and you have to study, a lot. However, it's not impossible. After the first test its easy to see what you need to focus your study time on. His study guides help a lot and all the quizzes are announced. If you're lazy, don't take his class.

DO NOT TAKE HIM! He thinks just because he understands it you do. He goes entirely too fast and will not help you. Other teachers had to help me bacause he wouldn't. His test are insane! BOTTOM LINE: DO NOT TAKE HIM!

Dr. Gaudin is very hard and this class requires a lot of studying, but he is a great professor and one of the most intelligent people I have ever met. I can honestly say that I got more out of his class than any other biology class at UTC. Overall, he is a nice person and I highly recommend this class if you really want to learn!

He is hard and will definitely make you work, but is also one of the best and smartest professors I have ever known. Definitely cares about his job and is very approachable. But again, don't take him if you aren't willing to work hard. His class is not for slackers!

Stay away from him at all costs!! He is a HORRIBLE teacher. He is not encouraging and his attitude towards you (as if you are inferior to him) is unhelpful! His tests are ridiculous, he is completely unrelateable, and his study guides can't even prepare you for his tests! I'm sorry, but he just shouldn't be a teacher.

He was nice, but not very good at explaining or putting notes up. The study guides he gives, seem to have nothing to do with the tests. The tests are incredibly hard and you have to study really hard just to get a C. I got a D in the class and before this year, the lowest grade I ever got was a B.

Gaudin is an okay teacher. His class is kinda tough asn you have to study a lot. The test are very tough if you don't study. He writes lots of notes,but you still have to read athe text to understand. Take him if you want to be challenged!P.S. He is the dept. head so he is really smart and expects his students to know there stuff.

This class is very hard! Also they kind of expect you to know what you are supposed to be learning without much guidance. As a teacher he is very nice and helpful if you ask questions, but you definatley have to work your tail off to get even just a C in this class!
