Professor Henry is one of the best teachers I've ever had! He's clear, concise, and really enthusiastic about the material he's teaching. He explains things very well, even more abstract and difficult topics to explain, he manages to simplify them and have everyone understanding them. He is a true asset to all students at any institution he is at!

Hands down the best professor in the CS department. Super clear, always entertaining, very nice and he know what he's talking about. He tries his best to simulate a real work environment with this class which actually makes it really interesting. If he's teaching a course I'd definitely recommend taking it.

Definitely the best CS Professor in the hoooouuse. The labs will be gruesome, but he teaches the concepts really clearly and is a very fair grader. In fact, he's probably the only CS Professor I remember any concepts from. Perfect recommendation.

Very good professor, super interested in what he was teaching. Programming assignments in C were difficult since we were never taught C, but were manageable. A lot of work but pretty easy to get a good grade as long as you keep up with the reading and the assignments. Great professor overall.

Does expect students with minimal experience in C to learn the advanced concepts overnight, but provides sample code and allows discussions on programming assignments. Also an easy grader as well as being enthusiastic about the course material. You will love his top tens. Just make sure you have enough caffeine before class or else? LOL

Dr. Henry's a good guy. He expects alot of his students and makes you write the longest paper of your life (as a cs student anyhow). My only complaint is he makes you buy a text for one reading assignment, which he could have photocopied and charged a small fee for (it was 10-20 pages).

Professor Henry can be challenging at times but he is a really nice guy, and does his best to make classes interesting. If you have little programming experience however, be wary of signing up for one of his higher level classes. He'll take time out to help you, but his expectations for you will not change. Fortunately he is a forgiving grader.

The best professor in the CS Dept. â€" hands down. He’s a very straightforward, down-to-earth person. He has a good sense of humor and a very effective teaching style. I was very impressed by his interest in students. I would have appreciated having him teach more of my classes...a truly memorable influence and an under-valued asset to URI's staff.

ok professor, poor expectations. expects everyone to know much more than the CS departments curriculum teaches. he went over C in 2 days and expected everyone to do all their assignments in it when the department only taught java. if you don't have a life and program for fun and learn languages on your own, this professor is for you.

The best CS professor I've had at URI. If I had Henry and not some English professor substituting as a CS professor then my grade wouldn't have suffered so much. Great teacher who explains materials to the 'T' very clearly. Highly recommended CS professor!
