Professor Klipstine has great experience in the industry and loves to share stories about his work. Very genuine and willing to help - wants to make the class easy. Some pop quizzes, but they are very easy. Don't need the book at all.

He is extremely lethargic in his teaching. By that I mean he speaks incredibly slowly. He is dated in his methods and understanding of modern Public Relations. But overall he means well and the class is fairly easy. He makes it painfully boring by reading the powerpoints word for word. Also you have to go to every class b/c of pop quizzes.

Easiest class ever. Have assignments pretty much everyday, but they're relatively short. You can work on them in class, get his feedback, edit them and then turn them in. You can leave whenever you turn your assignment in. Fairly easy grader.

My second time taking Klipstine and now I like him even more. There's no tests, but there's writing assignments due pretty much every day. You can work on them in class or you can leave after about 15 minutes. Awesome guy, helps you out with whatever you need.

Study for all the tests--I bombed 1 and realized after that I could only get a B+ not an A. Gives a bunch of pop quizzes so you'll want to go to class. Good guy and it was interesting stuff. I would suggest taking him

He gives random pop quizzes for attendance, but all of his tests were online. It was easy to browse through notes for tests. MUST pay attention in lectures though, a lot of test questions came from something he may have said once in lecture. He shows a lot of interesting videos and is there to talk to if you need too. Would definitely take again!!

Take this class. It's an interesting topic and he's a chill guy. He talks pretty slow and says the same thing a lot which is good for note taking. He gives pop quizzes but if you paid attention you'll get them all right- if he doesn't just tell you the answers. He shows lots of cool videos and funny material in his lectures. Easy online tests.

Definitely take Klipstine for this class! He's the cutest man, and he knows what he's talking about. He gives weekly quizzes, but they're really easy & boost your grade. All the exams are online and the questions come straight from the notestextbook. The class isn't difficult at all.

Gives a lot of quizzes which help to boost your grade. They are super easy and are open note, but you have to make sure you go to class so you don't miss any. His tests are all online but he only gives you a minute per question. He makes the test harder since he knows its open note. Very stubborn and not very lenient on grades.

Need to go to class because the quizzes give you points. He does the whole class off of points. Make sure you don't bomb a test because then you will mess yourself up for the rest of the year. For sure a easy class.

He shows a lot of great videos to make the class more interesting. There are 3 incredibly easy exams, and 9 easy pop quizzes through the semester. He is a really sweet man, and he has experience in the field of PR so he knows what he is talking about. A great guy! Study a little for the exams and you'll do great

Loved this class, I am a PR major but the material is super easy. His power points are all on blackboard and he is SO NICE. He makes the material interesting and is willing to help you. Attendance is not mandatory but he does give pop quizzes randomly. No projects or papers! He knows a lot! TAKE HIM!

Comment:
He has no idea how to teach a graduate level course. Assigns numerous busy-work type assignments rather than anything in depth. He is super boring and so bad at explaining concepts that students have to go to other professors in the department for help. Also possibly the slowest talking human being alive.

I am an A student and got a B+ in the class mainly because I got borderline A/B grades on the test. The tests mainly see how many little facts you can memorize from the powerpoint and notes. Attendance not taken but pop quizzes given. Nice guy, but boring as all get out. He's about as yankee as they come, but a good teacher.

Lectures aren't too bad, and he knows his stuff. Attendance isn't mandatory, but he gives 9 (easy) pop quizzes that can greatly affect your grade (15% of final grade). 3 exams, 85 questions on each, that require a lot of studying and reading from the textbook (roughly 28% each). You have to work hard to earn an A, but it's definitely an easy B.

All from which come directly from the lecture slides or the online book quizzes. posts all lectures on blackboard. He also gives easy attendance quizzes once a week. there's no reason not to do well in this class!

Klipstine is a really nice Professor. He knows what he's talking about. His lectors can get a little boring, but just print out the slides and follow along. He gives you study guides for the tests but I felt like the tests were a little tricky. Come to class and take the quizzes! It will help your grade.

I took him last spring and am thinking about taking him again for Jour436 and I remember people telling me how hard his class was but really he is pretty helpful and its just like any other college course Ive taken. His pop quizzes he always helped you on and the test were very straight forward. If you have to take him, take him.
