Great prof. He makes the material accessible even though it's realistically pretty difficult to grasp. The quizzes required a lot more studying than the final, so be prepared to dish out quite a few hours per quiz. Overall good course.

The course is quite amazing. He makes teaches physics like he is telling a story. He does not make the quiz, but he gives you bunch of questions at the end of the lecture that he can ask during the exam. Usually doing past exams and some key questions can help get easy A.

This course is the bane of existence for Comp/Soft eng. The course material, especially for the first few weeks of the course is very abstract and can be hard to understand. Tom does a good job to articulate it well in class to understand. Final exam was combination of old finals that he posted. Quizzes were on the major points of the material.

Can tell he really enjoys what he does and it makes the classes very interesting and enjoying. The work is engaging. He talked about the work he does for some of the lectures and it is some pretty crazy stuff. Very good prof!

Excellent professor, one of the best I've had. He teaches very difficult material with ease. He does expect students to review and learn the material outside of class. His quizzes are more difficult than his final. He's very friendly and more than willing to assist students with any questions they might have.

Very smart and enthusiastic. Explains difficult concepts well. Very down to earth and easy going in the classroom. Very willing to help students out of class provided the students follow up consistently. You may need to send two e-mails before he responds.

tom's alright, although his yoga **** is kinda scarey. he's not bad at teaching some tough eng topics. he's pretty smart too but expects you to be on the same level. he's not that much help though out of class which isn't suprising
