Val was a disappointment. If your NOT liberal and don't share her marxist views then kiss your "A" goodbye. I noticed that Val does not care for the male students in her class and would not value their insights as she would if a female made the same comment.

This professor is the reason I chose graduate psych mental health- she is a practicing scholar- a rare combination. If you want to learn how to be a psych NP she will inspire you and share her wisdom with you.

I thought it was impossible to make theory interesting- but this professor did it! She is able to tie in women's history and nursing and this ended up being one of my favorite courses. Would live to take another class with her again.

I now appreciate nursing history AND theory which was not adequately explored in my undergrad program. Thanks to this prof I have a clearer identity as a nurse. This course and teacher are great!

Valerie is more interested in promoting books she has written. You are graded on class participation which you are not allowed to voice your point of view or anything other than what SHE has written. She is disrespectful and closed minded. She could care less about teaching! Attend her class if you like being verbally attacked weekly!

Ms Hart has no qualification to teach accept that she has a degree. She never hands back students papers. She doesn't care. When you ask for them she acts annoyed. Her lectures are unprepared and dull. Unbelievable. USM gave her tenure! A disaster.
