Solid professor. Wants his students to do well, but makes us put in some work. Projects and lectures were fun and engaging. Class always ends early which is pretty awesome. However, I do think we could've spent some more time reviewing material.

Comment:

I took Marketing 101 with professor James in Summer session 1 and it was by far the easiest and best class. All tests were TAKE HOME TESTS and multiple choice! Class always ended early and Professor James is super easy to talk to with any concerns you may have. If there is ever a chance for me to take a class with him again I am 100% taking it.

EASIEST A YOU WILL EVER HAVE AT HOFSTRA. You can use a 2 sided cheat sheet on every exam and literally write the answers from the review exam he gives you. The class is only ever 45 minutes MAX! Prof. James is very easy going and willing to help throughout the semester--loves to just chat (which can earn you some brownie points). Definitely take!

I like taking his classes (I had 2 class with him) a lot. To me, learning is fun when you respect your professor, sincerely. You would want to spend extra time to learn more just to impress him. And I ensure you will respect him as long as you get to know him. My best lecture experience in Hofstra. Thank you, Professor James!

I took this course over summer session 1 and I was so happy! James doesn't load you up with work and is always there when you need him. Everything we learned about he applied to real-life situations. Definitely take him!

Took this course during Summer Session 1 and it was excellent! He permits a double sided cheat sheet for both exams, and gives you all the topics beforehand so you know exactly what to put on the sheet. On top of this, the project was easy and not annoyingly time consuming. Take him - he's one of the best profs in Zarb!

Such an awesome, nice guy. Wants his students to do well. Took the class over the summer and don't regret it at all. Talks about interesting things on advertising. Lets you use a cheat sheet on the exam. Would absolutely recommend to anyone.

Best teacher I've ever met. Very nice to international students, is very knowledgeable and gives out high quality lectures. The homework he gives teaches you ACTUAL SKILLS. Downside includes Might occasionally stroll off the subject and mention his dogs, his sisters etc.Has limited energy but that is understandable since age is catching up a bit.

He is hysterical!!! Cant tell you a thing that I learned regarding MKT124 but i can tell you all about Bill's dog, car, sisters, childhood, mother, boarding school, the girl he was in love with in alabama, it goes on. Plenty of easy extra credit, cheat sheet allowed for exams, practice tests, easy project/paper, VERY ENTERTAINING!

He tends to go off track sometimes during lectures, but his class is easy. Tests are allowed double sided cheat sheets, and he gives you practice tests that he'll pull answers from for the real test. Also, he'll help you %100 of the way with the project, there's no reason to not Ace it. You can get extra credit if you've less than 4 absences

Nice guy, very knowledgeable, but the class is a joke. No need to attend class ever, he never takes attendance and none of the class material is on the test. He gives a study sheet and practice multiple-choice questions for the tests. He lets you bring a cheat-sheet. Easiest A ever.

Pro James genuinely cares about his students. He works hard to prepare you for the real world. He has lots of first hand experience in the world of Marketing. He doesn't put pressure on you to do well on a test, instead he tries to equip you with the knowledge you need to succeed in this world. You CAN'T say that about most of the other pro's here

James is great if you don't want to learn anything or do anything in class. He won't teach you... you have to teach yourself out of the book. He lets you have cheat sheets for the tests and the Choices 3 project is an easy A. As long as you really read the book, you don't need to come to class at all. Unless you want to hear about his girlfriend.

I have learned nothing in this class. Yea hes a great professor if all you want to do is BS all class. The only things he talks about are his dogs and his girlfriend, not marketing. As a marketing major I could care less about his personal life; I actually want to learn something. This class was a disappointment
