Comment:
For the sake of your gpa, avoid this lecturer. He is unfriendly. Grades harshly. I would not recommend him. All his exams are written essay responses. He is never available during his office hours, and yet he doesnt give his students concise feedback on how to improve their grades. There was no textbook for supplemental info. Terrible.

He is a very intelligent and can engage you in his lectures. However, he is very soft spoken and hard to hear in class sometimes causing boredom. This professor shows no mercy when it comes to grading and will not provide you with extra credit. The first test you get back in his class will most likely be the lowest test grade you have gotten.

Dr. Rogers is my favorite professor at Winthrop. This course isn't easy, but Dr. Rogers knows what he is talking about and cares about the material. His exams are all essay and there are only the two exams and the final as far as grades go. He grades on improvement and will help you if you show you care and reach out to him.

This teacher is grades toughly. His is tough grader and I would not recommend him. All his exams have to be written essay responses. Also he was not very friendly during his office hours, or was never there. He doesnt give adequate feedback for students to improve their grades. There was no textbook for supplemental info. Please take with caution.

An amazing professor and a wonderful person. His class is very difficult, but it should not deter you from taking him. You will learn an incredible amount from him and he is quite happy to back you up along the way. Definitely one of the best professors I've had at my time at Winthrop and the best Biology teacher I've had yet

Dr. Rogers is THE BEST! His bio 518 class isn't easy, but he does a great job of teaching the material. His tests are entirely essays (usually three), and they're formed in a way that actually make you think about what you've learned instead of just spitting definitions back out. He's clearly very passionate about the material!

Dr. Rogers is a great professor. His tests are pretty much all essay and are difficult, but he tests off of his lecture. If you attend class, take good notes, and ask for help when needed, you'll do well. He wants everyone to learn and is really encouraging and always helpful.

I would not recommend anyone take this professor for ACAD. You do WAY over the amount of work the other ACAD classes do and the grading is harsh. You will be writing numerous papers for this class while other ACAD classes will be doing the same assignments in a paragraph. Has a sense of humor, but his harshness is grading does spoil a lot of it.

HE'S BRILLIANT! His tests are challenging, and it's absolutely necessary to study you butt off for tests, but he's so smart and all around fun! I'm definately taking him for evolution. He says lect attendance is not mandatory, but you better go. He tests off the lecture. Take good notes and enjoy. The class was so interesting because of him!

great man and excellent professor. knows about the subject and ties everything in that you're learning with trends and themes. he's a challenge, and the tests require thought and not just memorizing facts, but it's a rewarding class, and there's usually a lab help session before each test. i'll say it again. this man is great fun

Dr. Rogers' class was hard as heck, but he taught me a LOT! I also had to develop my study skills and I believe this is going to help me greatly in the long run. I would recommend his class if you can devote a lot of time to learning the material and truly desires to expand their mind.
